Yes, buy tea tree oil from the health store. Take a tiny drop and mix with a few drops of water. Tap it gently on the urethra. It's a miracle from heaven..

Ladies, I can relate to all of you and I feel your pain but also admire your strength!

We live in an era where we got pictures of Pluto but plain things like these urethral problems have been left aside.

I cried to countless doctors and I tire of spreading my legs to receive absolutely no answers! I've been subject to 'tests' because I received the reply 'we don't know unless you try' so many times that I feel like a labrat. And what's worst is the waiting time. Been nearly a month since I'm waiting on a urologist appointment and I haven't even received a time. I told the doctor it's ruining my life and it drives me suicidal but you still have to stand in an unbearably long queue. I don't want to be priority - I just want to not wait forever!

Pain is so rough with me at times that I cannot move. I am suicidal and I've fallen behind with my studies. I cannot live normally, I lost all hope after reading how long some women had it.

I will say that nothing like painkillers or hot water works. I tried water so hot that it burned my vagina, which frankly was better since that pain outmatched the urethral one... yeah I reached that point. Switching between cold and warm doesn't work either. Basically nothing works. Only solution I found is by numbing my clitoris aria by holding there the shower head in a high water pressure. Like masturbation, but very not sexy since you're in no mood for it! But never this can be unpredictable and just lead to making matters worse.

However, I found that sexual contact does hurt, except in one particular way, which is penetration from behind. Your partner's penis points upwards, which means that every time you're having sexual contact his penis hits very hard on your urethra, causing discomfort. Sex positions like doggystyle, with your partner from behind, will not hurt your urethra therefore will not affect your sex life. At least for me! I don't want my boyfriend to go abstinent because of me. I try!

Good luck to you all and hope you all get better!

Brittany....your words are exactly what I say everyday of my life. I have had urethral burning, frequency since a unnecessary hysterectomy 15 months ago. It has taken away my life and I too am not the same person. My friends and family don't understand and I love in constant worry that my children may have to go through this someday. I have spent thousands of dollars in medications. I am shocked that we can't figure out how to help people with something like this. When I read stories about people becoming suicidal over it, it breaks my heart. You think doctors would take it seriously, but they don't. I have been to 27.

So sorry to hear your in so much pain ! I went through this gorgeous years . I had to be dilated. I had what you call urethral stenosis and was not emptying out well. Also had cystitis . Dilation helped with emptying out , and I ordered acid redux on line and it healed the cystitis. That was back in 2004 . After I was healed I st op taking the acid redux. And this year got a severe uti and could not get rid of it . Had to be dilated, andwas still flared up , ordered the acid redux and begin taking it and with in thr= days my symptoms went away . I hope this was helpful . Wish you the best . Bladder issues are so depressing. God bless you with healings and relief soon !

I forgot to say the Lexapro could be causing you pain . They put me on that back in 2009 and before I took the 1st one my bladder and urethra was fine after taking the fist one my bladder started killing me with in the fist 30 to 45 minutes. It constructed my urethra and I had to be redilated. I also can't take any antihistamines they will also constrict my urethra. .... good luch to you ! Stacie from Texas

You need to find a good urologist. I developed urethra and bladd er pain after getting off birtcontroll pills .hurt for a long time before finding a urologist to find it was due to hormone in balance cause narrowING of the urethra, and had to dilate me to be able to empty out . Also if you acid levels high it will cause bladder pain . Have the also check you for cystitis. Acid redux has also helped me tremendously. Google acid redux blue bottle with red and white writing on label god bless . Hope you find healings and relief soon ! Each one of you suffering this pain . It is very debilitating and depressing .

Yes I have a answer. I have suffered this for 16 years unbearable pain felt like something weas sticking into me when I bent over , felt like I had peed glass after a pee unbearable yet I kept googling googling. A few months ago I tried the IC diet which helped the pain and then pure aloe vera juice but it was still subject to what i ate like tomatoes and strawberries what a killer. I read a story about a month ago called (google Bills story IC) so I asked my doctor for a course in Nystatin . The pain is totally gone its a miracle I can eat anything now i am convinced its a yeast infection that's taken root in the urethra i cannot believe it was so simple and why no one is acting on this info try it I am sure this is the problem contact me

have your gyn or a urologist check you for Interstitial cystitis. Cranberry can be an irritant to the bladder if you do have this problem.

I have talked about this with the urologist, but after two failed ( made worse really) I am nervous about more invasive procedures. I am glad it had worked for you,
