After many attempts to eliminate issues I found a combination for this type of pain elimination as being on a low dose of antibiotic ((Nitrofurantoin Mac Caps 100mg) and across the counter AZO. The anti-biotic is one pill a day and the AZO is as needed, which is seldom. It is working very well so far and it has been 6 weeks. Been able to sleep through the night and no pain.

My granddaughter had Nexplanon implanted in 2016. Three months later she started having IC symptoms. She just had a cystoscopy to look inside her bladder and she now has IC. She had no symptoms until 3 months after starting Nexplanon. I feel it definitely had some effect.

I had a complete hysterectomy in 2004, but for the last 6 years have been having pinching/swelling/bruising in my urethra. I do not have pelvic pain and find it hard to even sit at at times. Urologist gave me antibiotics for 2 weeks which seemed to help but the minute I stopped them the pain came back? I also tried hormone therapy which again helped for the first 2 weeks then pain came back again. I am so frustrated that there seem to be so many of us suffering with no answers!!!!

I’m not doctor or nurse here but I would think stress can affect the pelvic muscles and all that stuff, like the way that stress affects the neck, shoulders, lower back, and GI tract.

Your symptoms seem almost identical to mine. Since I was about 13, I am now 24, I’ve had on and off discomfort at my urethra. Sometimes it is relieved by just drinking water, but this is the first time in a while where the extreme discomfort has been persistant for about a month now. I only seem to have relief from this discomfort only when my bladder is very full, or when I’m urniating. When my bladder is empty, it is when the discomfort sets in. I have my first appointment with a urologist in about month. Had anything helped you? Thank you.

You have a chronic infection. Google chronic uti and you will find web pages to help. The tests for uti miss 50% of infections.

Ok, ladies. . . I have help. . . drink Apple Cider Vinegar 1t in IC of water. . . SERIOUSLY! IT WORKS. It is the only thing that helped me get relief. There is Vinegar capsules too, but they can bet taken after you get rid of the pain, but first stop the pain. I started taking 2 capsules 8-10 hrs apart to keep the pain away, then I went to a urologist/gynecologist and they said it was lack of estrogen. . . I was just glad to have figured out that vinegar helped stop the pain. It was ridiculous. I hurt all the time. It felt like a very bad UTI but all test were not showing one.

Try Azythromicin (antibiotics), 500 mg on the first day, then 250 mg daily for 5 days, the partner the same treatment. Also Ginosept pessaries, one daily, ten days. This treatment helped me tremendously. Ginosept is a Romanian product, I think it can be found on eBay or Amazon. I bought it directly from Romania.
