I've only had sex once (in mid June), we used a condom, that was our only protection, but as far as I know, there were no issues.
Exactly two weeks later I got what I thought was my period (though it came 4 days early). It was started off light, got very heavy, after a few days subsided - pretty normal for me.
I also, after seeing my doctor, decided to go on the pill. I started it that day I got my period. To be safe, they gave me a urine pregnancy test, which came out negative. Since then I have taken two more - one home test, another at the doctor's - both still negative.
However -
Two weeks after the pill (four weeks after sex) my breasts started feeling sore, and seemed to get a little bigger, firmer. The veins on them became more apparent. I've been having chronic nausea, and lately, pains in my stomach (lower and upper abdomen, and sides). I've also been tired. For the past few days I've been hungrier then I normally am, although I haven't gained any weight so far. These symptoms have persisted, even during the week when I was on the placebo pills.
My problem is that I've been reading the posts and messages on these forums for quite a while now, and I just don't know what to think. My symptoms could be attributed to other things (such as the pill, dehydration, physical activity), but I'm so scared that they might mean pregnancy. I know the only way to be absolutely sure is to take a blood test (although from the sound of it, even those aren't 100% accurate, as some on these boards have gotten false results) but I don't know if I should even bother with it because there's the likely possibility that this is all in my head. What are the chances? Can anyone possibly ease my mind, or at least tell me what I should know - even if it's not what I want to hear?
please. I know this is a long post and I thank anyone for even reading it...but I would really like some help, some feedback.

Go with your gut feeling before you know for sure, im going through a similar experiance, im late not had period, had bleeding last month but just for one day then watery blood for next 4 days. Iv now having pains in stomach and back for last 4 days and no period, all test have come back negative as well as blood test. If your not sure either way have a scan when you think you could be 7 week then u'll know for sure. im having one to put my mind a ease. How is your stomach does it feel harder at the bottom? Mine did stright away then its starting to get bigger and harder at the top. ill be 8 weeks pregnant now if I am. Ill let you know what happens go for scan this Friday. Paying for it myself £75.
Dont worry take care of yourself, nothing you can do unless you want a abortion, because I found out that they can you before you have one anyway. I want the baby tho if Iam. and if you are and decide to later, its best to just relax. But if you were safe when you has sex and used something you should be ok, unless you started to have sex 1st then used a something later on, because they'rs pre-come. Hope this has helped. Lots of others in the same boat.
Take care

kkgg: the symptoms you described are common side effects from the pill, especially since you just started using it. This may settle down after a while. I would trust the tests are accurate. Blood tests are 100% accurate, the only time they go wrong is when they are taken too early

Hi to norriskati, I went through the same thing about two months ago. And another time three years ago when i first went on the pill.
The pill time it just turned out to be symptoms from the pill, I had to go off it because the symptoms would not go away, nausea, bloating, etc etc. Had me convinced i was pregnant but i was not. So check that first if this is the case.
The second time around I was two months late and was freaking out: But at two months you can get an ultrasound, there is no better diagnosis either your uterus has a baby or its empty. I suggest that if you are two months late of more.
If not take a blood test but have them quantify it, those are 99% effective. that 1% usually stands for people with bizarre pregnancies such as ectopic ones.
I hope this helped, good luck.
