Googled symptoms that remain a problem for me.  Your string came up.  i have been diagnosed with lyme disease and babesia, both clinically and through blood tests.  Was hoping maybe I had something else gng on that could be corrected.  I am in month seven of treatment, progressing from 20% of myself to about 50-60%.

I know this is a while after, but after searching for my own issues, I find extreme amounts of similarities. Look into dry needling (YouTube it).  It's what I've been advised toward by a few individuals like us who have found complete relief from it.  If you're like me, you'll do anything to get rid of the pain/dizziness/unsteadiness/fogginess/miserable-ness. LOL.  I still have yet to try it because my physiatrist hasn't gotten back to me -- I'm switching soon -- but I'm amped to try it.

My pain management doctor told me about dry needling. It seems very similar to accupcture (which I sadly got no results from). I even tried the trigger point injections at pain management with zero results. I got 8 or 10 injections into my back and neck and still nothing. I am now past 20 adjustments with this upper cervical chiropractic doctor. I haven't seen much improvement. The ONLY improvements I've had are less muscle spasms. Pain levels are the same, sometimes worse. On a good note though, my energy levels actually seem to be getting better! I never thought this fatigue would ever go away, but the fatigue it's slowly getting better. When I get an adjustment, I can instantly feel like my lungs are "opening up" slightly and breathing is getting better slowly but surely. Sadly, pain has not improvement one bit and is getting worse. ]=. So my pain levels are getting worse, BUT, at least, my fatigue/dizziness/etc are getting SLOWLY BETTER!!! I am going to a pain management doctor who helps reduce the pain levels by 90%, so at least I don't have to live in pain.

If anyone has experienced the problems I described in my first post or any posts in this thread, and you think it's related to a neck or back problem I HIGHLY recommend you go to a upper cervical chriopractor. They are NOTHING like regular chriopractors, so trust me, even if you've been to 10 different regular chriopractors the "UPPER CERVICAL CHRIOPRACTOR" is so so very different that it is a MUST try for any neck or back related problems. I have to take clonzepam X 3 per day in order to keep my neck from twitching/going into non-stop spasms. For the longest time I HAD TO TAKE IT AT LEAST 2-3 TIMES PER DAY, or else, my neck would start to go into massive non-stop spasms if I simply missed one day of my medication. SINCE recieving upper cervival chriopractic care, I have been able to manage somedays on only 1-2 clonzepam per day, and even if I miss a day or half a day, my neck doesn't instantly go into massive spasms. It still will, just not as "massively" as before. So it seems like the upper cervical chriopractor has helped somewhat!!! But slow process. I can feel all kinds of "muscles moving around" in my body after the adjustment. But my muscles/neck is SO SO SO SO SO badly out of alignment that it'll probably take YEARS of treatment before it can get corrected. My EMG scans and X-rays showed my neck and back problem is extremely bad and complex. I don't know if I will ever truly get better -- I can only HOPE.

So few key points: 1.) My pain levels are still high, and sadly upper cervical chriopractic treatment hasn't helped the pain. I need to see pain management in order to treat the major pain. I don't expect the upper cervical chriopractor to actually relieve any pain because it is so deep rooted. Often times I feel in more pain after treatment -- my chiropractor told me my neck and back problem is so bad that it's twisted like a knot, inside a knot, inside a knot, inside a knot, inside another knot, inside yet another knot, wrapped around by 20 more knots. So it's so bad and complex that was the best way that could explain it. Luckily, the pain management doctor has helped bring my life back to nearly pain-free levels! (before I would experience neck and back pain 100% of the time) 2). My neck and back still feel like they are completely twisted, and completely out of alignment. I can't quite explain it. It's really crazy. 3). My other problems, such as fatigue, dizziness, foggy head feeling, weak neck feeling, memory problems, etc, have MINORLY improved. Key word is minorly. Why?? Well, because at the same time I have this neck and back problem, I ALSO HAVE ABOUT 20+++ INFECTED TEETH and gums!!! Little to my knowledge, major infections like that can cause all the problems I am experiecing: fatigue, foggy head feeling, etc, etc. I should have know better - the infection has likely spread to all parts of my body. I am not on antibotics to help bring down the infection, and need to go to a dentist ASAP and get my bad teeth removed. After being on antibotics for 2 days now, amazingly, my energy has SLIGHTLY increased. I am assuming this is because my body was so tired from fighting an infection 24/7, hence the fatigue. So I'm going to try to get all my teeth fixed IN ADDITION to getting chiropractor treatment and hope they can treat at least the fatigue/foggy head/dizziness symtomps I am expercicing.

These are ideas that your doctor may not be looking at low levels of B-12, iron ferritn low levels may cause dizziness even if your in the range but at the low end well you better get to the high end Even if your thyroid is in range but on the low end you may have all symptoms of low thyroid see and ND it could be vitamin defieciencies, it could be an inner ear infections even if the ENT doctor says no you don't have it treat your ears with ear infection oil and see what happens, If could be , a sinus infection which gets to my next point TEETH INFECTIONS cause illneess. Since ALL root canals LEAK infection you need to have them extracted and implants put in or just wear a click on inplant get rid of all the mercury, silver and metal fillings in your mouth get porcelain get tested the right way not blood test, for mercury silver nickel poisoning and get chelated,. It could be parasites , parasite can wreak hell on the body so get on serious parasite cleanse,. Get and MRI of your neck, head and spine,. Ladies if you have silcone implants filled with saline get all of removed!what is in the exterior core of implants is scary and make you super sick!

30 to 40 or so adjustments later (I get 2 adjustments per week) plus multiple physical therapy session and multiple "dry needling" sessions along with short massages -- no real improvements.

I at least know 100% what the problem is -- it's my neck and back. The X-rays and scans confirmed it. My entire neck is titled to the side in the X-rays, even when my neck is held straight. The Doctor had to take multiple X-rays because at first he couldn't believe how off balance my Neck was.  Also, the physical therapist told me my muscles/etc where a wreck. She said I was on a scale of 1 to 10, with the higher being worse, I was an 11! That's how bad it was. She even said when doing the massage that my entire shoulder blade was completely raised and not even in proper position/alignment with my left one. Also when doing the massage every few seconds she kept saying "wow" because there where endless knots -- and she couldn't even get most of the knots out because my neck and was so stiff. I was told "it'd take hours of massage just to even ATTEMPT to relax your muscles....."

So my problem is still horrible, the only *somewhat* good thing is I know is at least I know what is wrong with me. The problem is figuring how out to fix it.. One good thing is the pain is at least under control my doctor has me take medication that gets rid of the pain pretty much completely. So that's one plus. But the muscle spasms, weak neck, etc, well, those aren't really controllable through any means so far. So for the muscle spams/weakness/weak neck/heavy head/foggy head/dizziness/etc/etc/etc/etc -- for those problems I have no relief of.  I don't know what to do to make it better. Luckily I at least have a way to stop the pain with medication, but I still want to find a way to get this muscle spams and weakness under control.

I too just discovered an Upper Cervical Specific Chiropractor who discovered I have a "straight" neck instead of the natural curve, which thus causes my head to put more pressure on my neck/spine and feel heavy. I haven't yet gone in to start treatments, but I agree that those with neck issues should try to locate a chiropractor who specializes in this as they ARE very different in their approaches.

Marci, is the Dr. Patel in NC. I have suffered from head pressure at the vase of my skull along with stiff neck as well. Some days I feel very fatigue. This all started in Oct 2012 when I was 2 months pregnant. They did an MRA and MRI of the head at that time and didn't find anything. I have had many other test done and have also seen an ENT, Chiropractor, neurologist and cardiologist. I'm going to an orthopedic dr and a neurosurgeon next. I'm tired of having meds pushed at me and also Drs trying to Dx me with anxiety. The chiropractor did day I have loose tendon in my neck causing me to have a weak neck which causing my C1 and C2 to cross over too far when moved hence why I'm going to try to see what a neurosurgeon says. I will update more after my appointments.

Hey guys, been having quite similar neck issues myself. I am very sorry for the long-winded explanation below, but please take the time to read on:

I'm 19 years old, a college student. I had a neck problem back then about 4-5 years ago but that wasn't a big problem for me because it was only cracking sounds occurring from left to right directions when I turn my neck. Sometimes they wouldn't crack at all so I wasn't worried, it didn't distract me that much when I finished high school and went off to college as well. But recently, my neck has been feeling fatigued and weak. I am not sure exactly what caused this.

As a background, I have a bad posture problem of my neck sort of leaning forward, due to sitting at my computer desk a LOT throughout my experience. I had sort of an obsession with being on the computer a majority of many days when I was doing nothing over my Summer breaks, so my postural condition changed over time. I am still able to adjust my back and keep it straight through the spine, so I don't feel abnormalities in any way in terms of spinal figure. When I went to college, many many times I went to the library on campus to study and what not using my laptop every day, and I never had problems or concerns with my neck even in the most uncomfortable times, so I don't know why my neck is feeling tired in this particular season. (the heat in Florida really makes it tough for people to operate, I'm sure, so the heat could be a concern to why my health would suddenly become a concern? I don't know about that but it's open to questioning since the weather was usually not too large to deal with at my university.)

As for my current situation, I developed a sense of fatigue at the back side of my neck especially. It seems to have an effect on my shoulders and trapezius muscles I assume (since my shoulders sometimes get tense and feel weary). My vision must be affected as well by the back of neck issue, since my neck movement causes my eyes to see objects around my house as if they are moving against the backdrop when I move my neck left and right, even though it's not as violent as seeing a 3D IMAX film, nor is it vertigo-driven. It just feels like your motion is a bit quicker than average and it scares me a lot.

I went to a Pediatrics (my primary doctor) to get checked up, and my doctor tells me that my blood results found no anomalies or concerns whatsoever, and my physical came out excellent so I am confused lol. Also, my low white blood cell count was a bit lower than average, but it wasn't off the chart in any way at all, and my doctor reassured me that nothing is wrong with me except perhaps anxiety. I had anxiety and depressive manners after my vacation a month ago, and upon returning home to FL I felt nervous because of several school projects I was working on throughout my vacation time as well, so perhaps that could contribute. In sharing similarities with the thread starter, I had a depressive state of mind during my vacationing because I was thinking about a particular crush of mine, and I didn't know if she liked me back, etc etc. Either way, I always felt sad about that situation and thinking about her for years since I began knowing her, and it never impeded my health concerns so I was never worried about it. I am assuming anxiety and depression can become physical manifestations that affect the body in numerous ways. I also felt like a "pinched" nerve was stuck somewhere in my shoulders, and my family tells me it could be that reason that is guiding my anxiety and neck muscle weakness. Or it could be malnutrition or maybe I wasn't eating more than I should (I eat regularly and take my vitamins and I balance out my foods, but I just feel like I'm a bit skinny so I don't work out as often as other men do on average during summer breaks. Maybe my non-exercise routine is what's causing upper cervical problems?)

(on a side note, I used to take martial arts classes and I built a lot of stamina and workout from it since high school began, so it helped me develop well until I quit it because I had to go to college.) I now take a lot of jogs and treadmill routines and very rare gym visits, so exercise for me has decreased big time over the summer, unlike at college where I would walk daily around the campus and work out my legs all day long and always meet people so I was distracted from my neck issues and never had true concerns.

But as of this time, my neck has been a nuisance for me since a week or two ago. The main issue I'm having overall is the weird "motion" vision I'm getting, and the weakness in the back of my neck causing issues to the rest of my upper body. I did NOT experience any pain or swelling, headaches, or any other weird sensations, except the looseness/tightness of muscles. I am not sure what's contracting within my neck, but is it due to postural conditions? I also heard you guys talking about upper cervical cardiologists, so should I consider them? What if it's a trapped nerve issue or something else that is giving me fatigue? My aforementioned reasons can also be looked at as well if you guys see or know anything about them. My priority right now is to rid myself of the muscle weakness feeling within my neck so I can go back to college in 2 weeks with no problem :) I applied tiger balm last night to the back of my neck and it helped a lot, but I still feel like a remnant of fatigue is still noticeable. I also took Tylenol and Advil for 2-3 days and it helped me go to sleep easier so that works for me.

I am going to be visiting a Physical Therapist tomorrow to see what they say. I previously went to an Orthopedic physician who told me that there is nothing wrong within my X-Rays, and says posture is a common problem among teens and young adult adolescents, so I don't know then what is happening to my neck. I don't drive right now since I have no car atm, and I am not a reckless person or suffered from any damage as far as I'm concerned, so what exactly is this diagnosed as??

Thanks for your time!

Ron
