I acquired valley fever last sept 2011 after severe dust storms. I live in the southwest. It has been almost a year and I am still not fully well. I had fever, SEVERE fatigue, cough and developed bronchial pneumonia. I did not take the antifungals (toxic to liver) but did natural treatments and got rid of the valley fever (verified through blood tests) but extreme fatigue, white tongue, excess mucus in throat, a thick stick mucus that is clear to white. I think the valley fever messed me up. I had to quit work and just never felt the same. I am still searching for a cure to get back to normal and get rid of this MUCUS in my throat and white sticky tongue.. I eat extremely healthy and that helps somewhat. any ideas would be welcome. the valley fever episode was the sickest I have ever been in my LIFE.

I had all the above symptoms. My body was stressed and hormones out of whack. Meditation helps. also check innner ear issues if there is poor balance and/or dizziness. i was finally diagnosed with Meniere's diseaese. No treatment really except no salt diet and diuretics if you can handle them. I could not. so just eating pure whole foods, no dairy, juiceing, cleansing and stress management helped. I also became a vegan which really helped. the head pressure, neck issues, dizziness and ear ringing/fullness was the worst. chiropractors helped somewhat. computer and mouse work makes it all worse. limit the time spent on computer.. don't use a mouse. learn keystrokes. good luck.

Oh my God,I have the exact symptoms , but I have had it for two years!

I have had so many cat scans & MRI's. They found a very small benign tumor but say it is not that. The hospital now thinks that I am an attention seeker because I have to keep going back to the hospital when I have the same symptoms as you.Did you ever find out what was wrong with you?

Any one please help.deb

Wow I can't believe it took me this long to find this. It's almost scary how exact my syptoms have been to the other people's symptoms who commented on this in the first few pages.

My symptoms started happening in November/December 2010 and they've progressively gotten worse. I was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes the year before and I hadn't been taking care of myself like I should have been the few months prior. But I didn't completely let myself go. Regardless, I immediately blamed the symptoms on my diabetes. On New Years the symptoms had reached a dramatic low and I thought I was going to pass out and possibly go into a coma. It sent a feeling of numbess straight to my head and straight through my body. It was pretty scary. Scary enough to scare me into taking care of myself a lot better.

Long story short, I ended up moving away to Florida for school and the problems got worse. So I continued to try and fight it with diet+excercise and eventually was taken off my medication. Then I started getting low blood sugars. I went to the ER twice and my GP four times now and it wasn't until my last visit (a couple months ago) that my doctor diagnosed me with the opposite of diabetes: hypoglycemia. He said it's causing my symptoms and most diabetics who treat themselves through diet+excercise and virtually rid themselves of the disease develope it as well. He explained that he has it too for the same reason and the only way to help is by eating small high protein/low carb meals throughout the day. So I started that diet and it actually helped a lot.. but not enough.

During my appointment I mentioned to him that I experience my symptoms all day long, everyday and he, condescendingly, said, "No, you don't." I think he was confused because he went on to say that the symptoms should only appear when I have a low blood sugar. So I kind of just kept my thoughts to myself and ever since then I've been skeptical about hypoglycemia being my main problem.

Fast forward to last night and I was curiously researching lithium treatments for people with bi polar disorder, not for anything in particular; I was just being curious. I found a youtube video of a man speaking about his disorder + treatments and mentioned that he developed tense neck muscles that caused dizziness and fatigue. It suddenly clicked.

Something I haven't mentioned yet, and failed to recognize myself up until last night, is that another symptom I've been experiencing the last two years is a stiff/tense neck. It started the same time and ever since then I crack my neck dozens of times a day. Also, I was in a really bad car accident 3 months before the symptoms started. I was thrown from the vehicle so I'm thinking I might have experienced whip lash and other problems to my head/neck even though they didn't show right away. Between the hosipital visits right after the accident (I had surgery on my right arm) and the ER/GP visits, I've had 3 MRI's, several X-Rays and tons of bloodwork and urinal work done.. but everything always came up fine.

This whole time I thought it was either diabetes causing more physical problems+anxiety+depression or it was the other way around. But I really think it's a neck problem. It only makes sense. I'm going to see a doctor about it and then hopefully a chiropractic soon. I've just been researching it the past two days to figure it out.

As a student about to graduate, I'm 20, it's relieving to know my life isn't over before it began. I've felt absolutely miserable for the past two years and I thought it was always going to be like this.

Even though it took me two years to figure this out (or so I hope) a LOT of good has come from it. First of all, I've proved myself to be stronger than I thought I was. If and when this is all said and done, I just know I'm going to look back and not understand how I got through it. Secondly, I've kicked type 2 diabetes to the curb. And even though I developed hypogycemia, which I think has been caused by the neck problem too because I've seen some of you talk about problems with bloodflow/oxygen to the brain, I've lost 80 pounds and I've been leading a healthy lifestyle ever since. The best thing about it is that if/when I get help for my neck and it cures my symptoms, I'll probably not only feel physically relieved but probably better than I've ever felt in my entire life because of all the weight loss.

I'll try to keep this post updated with my experience. I definitely appreciate all the information and stories shared from the rest of you.

Just had to give my similarities to the above in case they mean anything. Typically low blood pressure and iron deciency 1) 5'3 - 100 lbs, 28yrs old 2) Computer desk worker 3) Side/stomach sleeper, have real trouble staying on back no hard how i try 4) Not stressed of late, certainly dont know it if i am, feel quite positive 5) N/A 6) Diet - Normal, Exercise - Nothing except chasing a 4yr old around - Blood work - ALSO low on iron all the time, had a low folate count too and deficient in Vit D, always have very low blood pressure and a high heart rate 7) Mum has had heart attacks in her 30s, PE's and various other things. Apart from vit deficiencies no other tests confirm anything Also had problems with my teeth the last 2 years, thought it was grinding but not so sure anymore as my teeth arent flat, recently just had some ear issues, muffled hearing on and off. I have a headache which is what i would categorise as brain freeze, they are getting very frequent and last all day despite any medication. My neck feels to weak to hold my head up and i have a strong pain from base of skull to middle of back. My forehead also feels like its tightenin by itself and my jaw always hurts despite the Jaw dr confirming i do not have TMJ or joint problems. I often feel like im wearing a tight mask on my face. Chiropractoer seemed to make things worse, had simple 2 minute accupunture for 5 minutes in shoulders and was nearly pain free for a whole day but returned the day after.

I also been having the same problem for about two months now. Idk what it is. I had many tests done. I thought it could possibly be my thyroid bc a lot of ppl in my family have that problem but unfortunately was not. As of right know I also suffer with depression and I had a eatting disorder I am still struggling with.

Hi guys. Not sure how much this helps. I was recently going through all the symptoms that all of you are describing and i thought i was going crazy. I felt nervous, dizzy, nausea, headaches, jaw pain, neck pain all that stuff. I couldnt go a day without being scared of it returning. I have being doing alot of research and someone has mentioned to me that it can be an atlas misalignment. I suggest you look into this because all the reviews are showing positive signs and to this being the problem. Im going to see the doctor who can adjust it and i hope it helps but all signs show that there is a cure and were not all going crazy. i hope this bring hopes to some of you out there and this helps but Please look into it!

WOW! Thank you for sharing! I am positive this is my problem. Just watched the video on this website:

and it all makes sense now. I got in a car accident 2-3 months before my symptoms started showing. The woman in the video got in a horse accident before her symptoms, which she described to be exactly like mine. Chiropractor, here I come!
