Weird feeling after taking Adderall

I've been taking Amphetamine Salts for a number of years now. 10mg 3x a day. My insurance co. in January decided they were not going to pay for me to take it 3 times a day My Psycho Pharm. suggested taking 20. mg. 2x a day. The insurance paid that claim. The same time and for 5 months I started and continued having SALTY TASTE in my mouth, aggitation, not sleeping, freezing cold fingers, and sinus problems. Physician thought I had sinus problems and sent me to ENT doctor who then had me have CT scan. Did show small cyst above molars. Was also put of Prilosec by ENT. He then told me to see Oral Surgeon because he could see Retention Cyst above molars. Out come was do nothing with Cyst's because too small. Salty taste so bad I wanted to jump off a building. The pharmacist also could find a problem with meds. Finally looked up and realized the extra dosage and sure enough I was over dosing.

No one said she/he was using the medication to get high. Some people just don't like to take adderall everyday if they don't have to. She was probably prescribed the medicine took it day 1, and then felt like that day 2. Don't judge people...

So I need to up my dose? I started off with Adderall and switched to Ritalin because Adderall made me very tired I switched back to Adderall 5mg higher than when I first started and I am still very tired..

I too get a weird feeling from the xr. I do not know why, my doctor told me that alot of her patients had reported it. So, I am on the regular and all is well again.

No was diagnosed with ADHD a few months ago and was prescribed adderall 20mg xr I don't take it on days I am off from work or school since my physiatrist said that its okay for me to be my normal ADHD self on those days (lol). Anyway! Occasionally when I take it I feel a sick feeling like sick to my stomach and throbbing headaches but I always eat breakfast before I take it :( idk

sometimes if u are taking a certain Generic ot can be different yhan others b coz of the fillers that they use. ( non active ingedients).

Studying for psych. Diagnosed with add @ 12. Skipped years of my meds and now I am back on them. I'd how old this thread is but ty in a way bc I was unsure about my 20mg xr. I don't like how it makes me feel but it is d*** sure good for my studies. Other than that, it DOES make me feel lethargic attimes, particularly after a few hr's of study or work. Then I feel tired. I still have questions but ty for your post

Thank you so much for this. I am almost exactly like you having experienced symptoms since I was a kid and weed was and is my favorite drug. I'm a total stoner smoking all day. I am on my second day on Adderall and I have the same feelings, sort of high and awake and focused but also strangely calm in a way I've never known before. I respond extremely well and quickly to medications so I'm starting to think this may have been the missing piece all of my life. I was an unhappy nervous wreck since I was young and up to 2 days ago I was hyperactive, forgetful, clumsy, failing in school, etc. etc. I have already started to catch up on my homework and will go to a yoga class later today. I never believed adhd or add was a real thing and I thought it was crazy that they gave it to kids. But I realize now that there is definitely some sort of malfunction in my brain and taking adderall (which definitely has a stigma as an abused drug or that people are all jacked up on it all the time) may just possibly be balancing my brain out. I'm going to take my dose as prescribed and just wait and watch and see what happens. I really appreciate that you mentioned how you felt a week and a month in. Also the advice on eating and getting tired. Thanks again I needed that information! :)

You seem very smart can you tell me how much adderall is too much adderall? The results have changed from euphoric to shaky and not energetic. I feel like im on autopilot.

I have really bad brain fog or nitive roblems and memory issues that arouse about two years ago. Currently on wellbutrin. Not noticing much difference in 6 weeks now. Doc added adderoll 10mg. Took yesterday made me incoherient and extreme social anxiety i was crying all day. Dont want to touch it today. But want to do tever i can to rid my brain fog. Any thoughts?
