I was told at age 38 I was starting to go thru menopause. I am now almost 42 and am told I am in the middle of this lovely transformation. I think sometimes I am going nuts. I am Bi-Polar as it is and have been on meds for that for 20 years. Now I am feeling my old weird ways again, but I also have hot flashes, night sweats, I either want to sleep all the time or cant sleep at all. I have blurded vision, dizziness, headaches, and like I said there are times I feel I am going out of my mind. I wonder if I will actually make it thru this. My next doctor visit something else has to be done. My friends and co workers can tell a big difference, I also have gained a lot of weight but dont care enough to try to lose it. Is there any real help out there for us? I take hormones, they are not helping. If there is a pill out there to relieve this, I want it.

When you are about to enter menopause, your body starts to produce less and less estrogen. As a result, your body loses its ability to properly regulate your temperature. So When your temperature rapidly rises this brings on sweats, hot flashes and chills. There is nothing worse than shivering with cold so soon after you felt so hot that you broke into a sweat. These hot flashes can take place anytime of the day and there is no real way to predict when they will strike. Because of this, many women seek for treatment for their hot flashes and some symptoms of menopause. In addition, Sweats, hot flashes, and chills are not the only symptoms of menopause because during menopause, the lack of the hormone estrogen can also cause all sorts of problems from hair loss, facial hair, mood swings, and even weight gain. So if you want to cure those symptoms of menopause without complications and adverse side effect try Hot Flash Freedom.

Tina, i have alot of the same symtoms as you, I am 41 and at 39 I had quadrupal bypass heart surgery(unexpectedly). I had been going to the chiropractors for back pains just to find out my back pains were actually mini heart attacks. I too get night sweats, headaches and other symtoms, I had just thought it was from my sergery, but now im wondering if I might be going through menopause. At 37 I had one overy removed also.

good luck, hang in there. :? shari

Thank God! I thought I was going crazy!!! It's wonderful to know that I am not alone in this menapause disaster! I have had all these varied symptoms over the last 2 years, but things have gotten much worse over the last 3 months! I am on HRT but it doesn't seem to be helping at all! Im 49 years old but if this keeps up I won"t make it to 50!!!

To say that HRT is the best therapy is false and can be hurtful for some. Women need to talk to their GPs and then make their own decision based on risk factors (which HRT has a high level of) and what they are comfortable with. Many women do not take HRT and are perfectly fine and happy.

As the menopause approaches, there is a decrease in estrogen production by the body. This most often happens between the ages of 45 and 55. This shift in hormone balance affects nearly every body system and causes a mixture of symptoms.

I too had tachycardia and also PVC's. I went through the whole cardiac workup which I know was important to be on the safe side. I tried to tell my doctor that I thought it was all related to menapause symptoms and he just laughed. Being a man, he doesn't understand and many doctors doen't believe it if they can't see it or measure it. I read up on menapause and those sypmtoms were listed. I have since started using Progesterone cream and those symptoms disappeared.

I have been thinking a lot about the menapause lately as I didn't really know much about it (if anything!) I heard about the hot flushes but thought you get them and then your periods stop all within a month and it would be over with! HaHa how Ill informed I was! I asked my nan today about them and she said you can have them for years! I thought she was having me on till I read this forum!!!! o.O
I'm 38 and yes thinking about it now have been having palpitations that make me dizzy, my muscles and bones ache. I went through a stage a few months ago of hot flushes were I would have to lie down before I felt I could breath again but that has stopped. I put it down to just getting old and rickety! I have lost half a stone within a few weeks but as for moods, I have always kept everything in and then have a huge row about nothing! so I dont know If I'm any differant there! 8-|
Anyway this has really opened my eyes as I never seen myself as having to worry about it, it was something your mum had not you! :'( I think I would rather the periods forever! But thank you all anyway as now I'm better informed and will go to the Dr.s and find out once and for all. Ignorance WAS bliss (for a while)lol
