From what I have been reading on this and other websites, current health care providers are rather quick to recommend a thyroidectomy for Graves' disease in North America. Here in Great Britain, it is not so much like that I think, and surgery is something that is thought of as more serious. There must be times when Graves' disease does warrant surgical intervention though. What are those circumstances, for you?
