I was told by my doctor that it comes from ovulation. It happens right before your period.

Hopefully it's not too late to help someone but I have the same and the doc diagnosed it as Cytolytic vaginosis. A vaginal condition that involves an overgrowth of lactobacillus bacteria. She gave me instructions for a baking soda douche. Please look online, I found the same info that she gave me but that was the only treatment she recommended and it helped, I'm sure there may be other methods but that's what my doc decided to start with

I have had the same thing many times. I have just tried the sodium bicarbonate douche. Having never douched before. I had just had enough. I'll let you know what happens.

So have the baking soda baths helped? I'm so frustrated I feel like I've tried everything and my dr basically blows me off when I talk about it. I've been searching every where to find help!

I read someone mentioned acid, I have been drinking pure orange juice not from concentrate and almost totally eliminated fast food. Lots of water.. My conditioned has improved and discharge is looking normal again! Additionally I am popping more regular (tmi) but ever since this condition (which I am sure is CV per my research ) I felt bloated and couldn't go. Not sure what is in Tropicana that is helping me but I'm OK!! Will keep you posted! it sounds crazy because I never thought orange juice would be the cure. But all in all, I have totally increase my intake of real foods, decreased all other drinks except water and pure orange juice... So far so good. Also staying clean and low cut down there to eliminate sweat. i attended a research university and I love a good study so I have been carefully observing what I am changing and keeping the same. I thing it is digestive track related. Ask yourself: how and what do I eat? How much sugary drinks do I consume? How often do I shower? Do I groom my area and do I feel better when I do? Do I see more or less diacharge during a certain time of the day or after eating certiain things? Should I stop intercourse to rule that out? How often do I have a bowel movement? What was the state of my body and mind when this first problem appeared? trust me!! All this plays into it!! Happy researching!!!

this seems to make sense to me and my situation. i was on the mirena for almost 4 years and had it removed in Dec 2015. i immediately started taking a low dose pill and quit that after a couple months because it made me an emotional wreck. so i've been off any type of birth control for about a month and i feel great! except for this chunky white discharge. i "scooped" a bunch out with my finger this morning and when it just kept coming, i decided to douche with warm water. that helped to clear a lot more of the chunks out. i was hoping that would be it but it sounds like i'll be seeing more of the chunks in a few days according to your experience. i will keep researching to see if there is anything we can do to get rid of it.

That is strange. I too have the discharge and my watch was leaving a rash. It was a new watch I got, and you can switch bands on it. It had like a rubber/ silicone band and I just assumed I was allergic and bought a metal band. I was still getting the rash! I also have the clumpy dry white discharge that looks like toilet paper clumps. Also, under each ring I wear I get a red burning flat scaly rash. Strange. I'm going to see a dr. About it next week.

This has been an ongoing situation for me for the last several years. My only difference is the aweful odor and I am itchy. For me at least I am dealing with BV. Some of you may want to look into that. Just an idea.

I don't think it's normal. And in my case I'm pretty sure it's not a yeast infection. I've had those before and the only thing this and that has in common is itchyness. For the last 6 or so months I've had vulva itching like crazy about a week before my period then it stops when my period starts. Makes me actually want to have my period! In the last 2 months it's gotten worse. Last month was like about a week and a half before my period the itching started, but then stopped when I got my period. This last month was the same week and a half, but it hasn't stopped! It's been off and on but mostly on non stop itchiness, dryness, cracks in the skin down there that occasionally bleed a little, and now white, very thin, not super clumpy discharge. Looks like thin bits of toilet paper, but not really clumpy. Reminds me of dead skin that comes off my legs when I dry them vigorously with a towel after shaving, only very white in color. No real odor, nothing stinky. Last night it smelled a little sweet, but that could have been from the bunch of pineapple I ate recently. I'm not on any birth control, no condoms, no toys. Maybe sweat is a factor but it would come from the electric blanket heat because I don't exercise ever. One partner (my husband). No std's. I think it's partly hormonal maybe? In the past I had very irregular periods and never had this issue. For the last 2 years I've had amazingly normal periods for me (between 26-29 days). The last two months my periods have been a lot later and weird, with lots of brown blood/discharge and blood clumps/clots. And it's the last 2 periods that the problem has gotten worse. I just tried a baking soda sitz bath this morning. It really didn't seem to help much. I tried making a doctors appointment today but because it's been over 3 years since I was there I'm considered a new patient and can't make an appointment until they send paperwork and I fill it out and send it back. I'll go crazy by then. From researching I think it's cytolytic vaginosis because it really sounds like it is. I want to try the baking soda douche but I've heard douching is very bad. I think I'm going to buy preseed and see if that helps. I really don't think it's a yeast infection because of previous experiences with them. Now that I think of it all this started not long after I treated my last yeast infection.
