I had my period on the 9th of March and I am a normal 28-day cycle. On the 14th day of my period (and the day after I had a rubbery-brown discharge) I had unprotected sex. My period is due April 6, and I feel as if I am getting my period. I did have a blood test that stated I was negative for pregnancy (keep in mind the pregnancy was 10DPO and I believe may have been too early). However, I now have a very light white discharge that I have not had before (at least not prior to my period). I have also been tested for a UTI. The discharge does not have a smell and there is no vaginal itching. Any thoughts???

Well, there are two options and I am sure you are aware of both of them.

First of all, I would agree that you may have tested too early. I have an information that implantation occurs anywhere from 6-12 days post ovulation but to get the true pregnancy tests results, a test is usually done on the day your period is about to come or the following day if your period hasn’t arrived.

As for the white discharge, I have it excessively before my periods. I used to get real scared before I learned it could appear prior to periods. I always thought I was pregnant.
However, if you haven’t had this symptom prior to your periods before, I am not sure if it would appear out of the blue. However, you never know with these things.

Excessive estrogens make mucus plug around the cervix when a woman becomes pregnant to protect the uterus and many women experience excessive white discharge just before they would test positive for pregnancy.

Considering, there is no odor, or itching, there probably isn’t any infection going on.
