why do you get pimples on your lip?

Ok, you get pimples on your lips because of not washing your face.... Your face usually looks greasy when you dont wash your face... So I'm trying to say wash your face and you won't get pimples on your lipss.... :-@

Hey guys this might help because im going through the same with a pimple on my lower lip in between were the skin meets the lip.

- Put a slice of tomato or a slice of lemon on the pimple and let it sit for an hour or so

- Next take some ice and put it on it until numb to reduce the swelling

you should see signs of improvement if you do all of this.

Well not to scare you or anything, but you can get herpes in non sexual ways, it happened to my friend. The virus can stay on a non living surface for about 20 minutes, for example sitting down on a toilet and having an open wound exposed to it. It's very rare to it to happen, but it happened to my best friend.

did you mean not to voice your opinion, just facts??? anyway, try cleaning the area with a mild, antibacterial soap (dial is the best ever), twice a day, also after you clean the area, take a dry towel and dry yourself off. do not put on your panies without drying yourself off.

Yeah I have a stubborn pimple on my upper lip I just treat with dabs of Bactine due to the lidocaine that numbs it. Being careful not to swallow it. But canker sore medicines don't help since it is outside my mouth, not in it.

Look it's simple just get a tiny needle pour some peroxide water over then pop the pimple get any remaining guck out by pushing in to the pimple then pour some peroxide water on a cue tip then just rub it on the pimple and what do you know it got smaller or went away. :)

Ok, I just wanted to sahre my story with everyone so you know you're not alone. I am 32 and I still have whiteheads around my lipline. I had about two starting at age 15 and now I have 5. While they are small, they are also very noticeable as they are very white and bulge out from the skin. I recently went to a dermatologist and was prescribed a few medications to treat my entire face. I used the medication prescribed for whiteheads (Atralin) around my lipline each night. After about 2 weeks, one of the whiteheads grew 3 times larger and was very painful. So, I squeezed it after trying to live with the pain and embarrasment for 3 days. That made matters 10 times worse! I was stuck with a huge bleeding, red & white swollen mess for over a week. I am sick and tried of this situation as I have lived with this for years! I am going to try the tea tree oil method and see if it helps.

My only advice is to clean your face thoroughly before bed. I believe this is why I developed whiteheads. I always end up falling asleep in my makeup!

so if you have a white colored pimple like thing on your lip with a small black dot in the center, what do you think it is... pimple or hsv-1? I popped it area hurts consistently like burning sensation, is that because of nerve endings or another sign of hsv-1?

The "white colored pimple thing with a black dot in the middle" is not herpes it's just a pimple. Cold sores look different and hurt like heck the entire time they are there.

I have this little pimple on my upper lip and its been there for about a year now. I'm too young to be sexually active. And havent done anything sexual. I don't know what to do and i'm annoyed its always thereeee ! HELP ? ANY ADVICE ?

Well I just soaked my face in ice water. Then put ice on my lip its not herpes its just a simple pimple :)
