Cold sores are caused by herpes type one which 90% of people have. It is not the same as herpes type two which is the kind of herpes people think of when they hear that someone has herpes.

I agree but I have this one pimple like thing on my upper lip, it isn't painful and it looks like regular skin it just one. I popped it by accident and it turned red while I was in the shower. I am scared something bad will happen.

Do NOT pick at it and open it up, it'll only make it worse. Take a hot shower and let the water get on your lower lip for a while. Do that and it'll go away sooner than if you would've popped it. I've had pimples, big nasty ones, on my lower lip before and this always helped. The pimple was usually gone within 3 days time.

It's possible it can be a cyst I had one on my face thought it was a pimple and found out it wasn't it was a sebacous cyst and the doctor had to remove it

I got those a lot during puberty and it freaked me out. I used to think I had mumps because there are glands and lymph nodes down there. I never told my parents because I was embarrassed but eventually I grew out of it. There are lots of lymph nodes in the area and sometimes they swell. It isn't herpes. You'll grow out of it.

I am looking for some advice. I have a bump that kind of looked like a small pimple or blister on my lip a few days ago. I popped it and the fluid was just clear. Its starting to heal now and has some scab like qualities. My question is could this be something other than herpes? I have never had anything like this before, it was just one small bump and it doesn't hurt at all. Id be really grateful if someone could help me with this as I'm pretty scared right now.

It may be because you maybe didn't clean yourself so well down there. Also, i know that taking a bath with hot water is VERY helpful and takes away swelling.
