This summer caught me unprepared, so I had to hide beneath heavy layers of clothing. I decided this winter to work out and get shape up, so I will be prepared to jump in bikini right away. Any tips and suggestions would be great!

Yes you are right it is better to start now. Do usual workouts as before but for better shape you should drink two liters of water and downsize your portions or do nothing until mid-December, when you go on an unsuccessful and unpleasant fad diet and hope for the best.
