I was very afraid when my dog was diagnosed yersiniosis, because I thought it was plague! My dog was treated with tetracyclines, but now I think I can notice recurrence of symptoms. Can it be chronic yersiniosis? If you had same problem with tour dog, please tell me something about chronic yersiniosis treatment.

Yersiniosis is treated with antibiotics like cephalosporines, chloramphenicol, gentamycin and tetracyclines. Yersinis may affect people, it’s not only zoonozis. Man can infect by inhalation or ingestion microorganism. People develop abdominal pain, fever and diarrhea when infected.
