My 10 year old daughter has cronic urination and vaginal burning.  She's been complaining of this for past 2 years.  She also has some kind of digestive problem which makes it hard for her to be regular.  I've had her tested and nothing wrong was detected but I feel the doctor did not take this seriously so in the meantime she is uncomforable and nervous at school or when we're out visiting friends for the day.  Anyone having the same problem with their daughter, especially the cronic peeing?

the first thing that come to mind was a urine infection but you said the doc checked everything, the other thing is maybe nerves is she being bullied? I used to have a really stressed stomach that cramped up when i was at school and always needed a wee! hope you get to the bottom of it soon, its been a long time to not been looked at by the docs properly!

I'm curious as to what the Dr. tested for. As a small girl, maybe 8 I was experiencing the same symptoms. I was treated for a urinary tract infection and a vaginal yeast infection. Although I did not test positive for UTI, sometimes an antibiotic will still help the symptoms. The Dr., also, was able to tell from a vaginal exam that I had been molested, which can aslo cause those types of symptoms. No matter how close you are to the people you trust, it still may be possible that someone is preforming sexual acts to your daughter than could be causing her symptoms. If that is not the case, an ultrasound can be done to see if she may have kidney stones or other bladder/kidney abnormalities. The only other thing I can think of that may be causing her symptoms is some sort of reaction to laundry detergent, fabric softner, bubble bath, or perfumed soaps.

She was tested for a certain bacteria that causes stomach problems and came up negative.  She hasn't been molested, she is way to vocal and confident for that to have happened and I do know that because she breaks down and tells me anything that's bothering usually with tear and drama.  I think maybe it is a nervous condition because at night she's afraid we'll be mad at her if she has to get up and pee which causes her to have to go constantly.  I told her the other night that if she has to go whether at school or home, she should just go and not to worry that anyone will be upset and I do think it has been happening less.  She's trying to eat better and I've been giving her psyllium in her juice which is making her more regular.  I think that little girls put more pressure on themselves than we did back in our days of adolescence.  She's always trying to please us and her teachers, trying to appear to know so much.  I wasn't a know-it-all until age 13.  I have tried to let her know that her dad and I have things under control but she is a true coleric and wants things done her way, which causes a lot of head bumping.  I'm more of a fly by the seat of my pants type of person, more relaxed.  I hope I can help her to feel less anxious about life.  She is funny and beautiful, the perfect combo. So for now she seems a bit better but we'll see what happens next; there does always seem to be something brewing.  Eek ghads!!
