13 yr old w/groin pain for many months

my son has had many tests done to try to figure out why he has pain in his grion area-mri-steathascope-ultrasound -five day epideral-blood tests and so on. been to major childrens mercy hospital in KANSAS CITY MO couple times. with no for sure findings- just knowing its some kind of nerve damage or irratation, hes currently on gabapentin for pain management 600 mg but at times he has some pain still and wont urinate much at times. the pain is lower abdomen diagnal towards private area and at times burn at end of penis, our next thing our pain doctor suggests is acupuneture as another way to remedy the problem even could completely cure this problem as it has before on others with the same kind of issues. PLEASE ANY FEED BACK WOULD BE HELPFULL
