it started on my last day of holiday where i had been drinking every night for 4 nights,i had a really sore throat and my lymph nodes on each side of my neck were very swollen and painful,i just thought it was all the smoking/drinking/shouting! after a week i went to the docs who said it must be a virus.a week later the sore throat had gone but my glands were even more painful so back to the docs i went, again i was told its a virus but i had a blood test for glandular fever which was ok.
Another week later i went out for a drink, when i woke up on the morning after i looked like a cabbage patch doll,my eyelids were very swollen as was my face and gradually over the next few days i swelled on mjy abdomen and my legs too, putting on 16lbs in a week,my face is worse in the morning and at first i was sleeping the clock roud,i dont feel too bad now but the swelling is still there 3 weeks later, please please please can anyone give me something to grab onto as to what is wrong with me!! could it be my liver ???????

i was experiencing the same thing. from the research i've conducted it appears that it might be a result of far too much sodium. I found one site that recommended abstaining from salt for three days. I have done so for two days now and this morning I woke up without the 'water mask' on my face. check out body balancing by tim michael davids.com for what appears to be a great diet adjustment that migth provide some relief.
