Hi guys, Would appreciate any advice or insight! Feeling like a bit of a 'waste of time' to the hospital at the moment. About 12 days ago I had severe abdominal pain. I went to A&E as it was a pain I hadn't experienced before. Even though I didn't have typical symptoms they took my appendix out. It all went well and they said I had mild appendicitis. Pain was gone. I was sore from the surgery for a few days but I've healed really well and doing fine, well I was anyway. On Sunday night I got a pain which was similar to the pain I had before the surgery. I thought I may have just been over tired so I went to bed and slept it off. Felt a bit better on the Monday but by the afternoon/evening it was really severe and I ended up in A&E again. They sent me to the surgical ward but today they've sent me home with no real answers. They said I have a urine infection but it doesn't really explain my symptoms. Because I'm not in as much pain this morning, they seem to have given up. They made me feel really stupid. :( Anyhoo, my symptoms are: Pain in abdomen, especially across stomach/liver area but it spreads to entire abdomen and goes into my back as well. Nausea - a very painful nausea and I was retching. Pain is worse after eating and also seems to appear late afternoon/evening times. Bloating. When the pain is bad, I want to curl up in a ball. Laying flat really hurts. I feel very out of it when the pain is at its worse. I'm dreading tonight :( Cookie
