im 16 years old and i have a 1 year old toddler. ever since i gave birth to him i've had an abnormal period, sometimes i even get it for 3 months or longer. what should i do? is it serious? :-( :-(

Hi,

There's a lot of information in your post, and at the same time nearly none.

Let's see...

It is completely normal for your periods to be really weird for quite a long time after you give birth. You might not have any for a long time, and then you might get a few at unexpected intervals. If you were breastfeeding or still are, this is especially true. I didn't have a single period for two years after my son was born.

But it seems to me like you're saying that your period itself sometimes goes on for a whole three months, so constant bleeding the entire time? That is not normal and definitely requires medical attention if I understood correctly. Any abnormal vaginal bleeding or bloody discharge between periods needs reporting to your doctor.
