I have been having stomache problems for the last year and half..and a month ago my doctor said i had gall bladder disease in my urine. She sent me to a specialist..well he did and EGD and said i have acid reflux disease and gastritis..and possible ibs. I asked about my gall bladder disease if it would get worse or what and he didnt answer me. Well he told me also alot of it is my nerves too. I told him my doctor is already giving me xanax for nerves and panic attacks he said ok. Well he said he was going to prescribe me something to help me relax more at night and i will not be tired the next day. He prescribed me desipramine. He said i could take it with my loritabs and my xanax. But when i look online it says not to take with xanax and also it is a drug for adhd and depression. I dont have adhd and not really depressed. Why would he give me desipramine for stomache problems?? When i look it up online it doesnt say anything about helping stomache problems.

I have had acid reflux and gastritis ever since 2004 when I went in and had a subtotal colectomy and I have been on Protonix for that and seams to help alot. I don't understand why they would put you on these other drugs maybe you should get a second opinion.
