Hello! First of all, you must not take medications on your own! You need to visit your doctor! I assume that this time you probably do not have bacterial tonsillitis as you had it last time, so that is why antibiotics do not work. As I already mentioned, you will need to visit your doctor and he will prescribe you appropriate treatment.

Hallo,
The thing is that your tonsillitis might not be the same intensity as previous one so you might need stronger antibiotic. But this has to be evaluated by your doctor and he can give you another prescription for stronger antibiotic. Now you have to know that there are different methods of treating tonsillitis, not just by antibiotics. There is an option of surgery. You can talk to your doctor and see if you might be better if you get your tonsils out. Surgery is not complicated and it is very common now days. You will only have to go through the recovery period that can sometimes last up to four weeks. I hope this helped a bit. Good luck.
