pizza dough or rolls?
I'd like to start making up some home-made pizza crusts and maybe a batch or 2 of rolls on the weekend to have later on in the week...
anybody done this? do you recommend freezing or refrigerating the dough?
...and how do you bring it back to life?

I've done refrigerating for a pizza crust when you'll use it within 24hrs.. put it in the fridge right after it rises.
As for freezing.. I've also done that too and it's okay.. not excellent, but okay. Again, freeze it in the pand after it rises and then build the pizza right on it still frozen and bake.

My sister freezes her rolls. She puts them in the freezer after she rolls them into balls out of the bread machine. Then when she takes them out of the freezer she lets them sit and de-thaw and rise and cooks them when they are thawed. Usually takes them out in the am and cooks them in the pm.
Question for you: I have a bread machine that's 5-7 years old. Do they stop working? My last few batches of bread and dough haven't come out like they should. Any suggestions?

Parts do wear out. I had a 10 y/o Zojirushi that my dad took home and refurbished (for $20 in parts) and now it's working like a champ for him.

as any baker knows, there are a lot of different variables to baking....
you could have a bad batch of yeast, stale flour, or if the temp is too hot or not hot enough you won't get a good result...
if it is related to the bread machine my guess is that a thermostat for one of the settings is off and (probably not warm enough for an ideal rise)...
