If you go on t his diet without a clear understanding of what ketosis is, you will gain back the weight. I did Bernstein for 8 weeks and lost 18 lbs. Then I lost another 10 on my own in tje following 6 weeks. It’s been a year and I haven’t put a pound. Bernstein is a good start for those who want to change their life. But if you’re looking for a quick fix, these don’t exist. For me, it developped in me the discipline to live a healthy life. I eat very few carbs and lots of fat. I’m never hungry and have full energy. I take regular blood tests and diligently choose what I eat.

I did the restrict diet myself and it was working but I was passing out alot. It's mainly vitamins that your body needs to survive the day, to give you energy, since you are not getting it from the foods you are not allowed to eat while losing weight. Drinking lots, lots of water helps you pee out your fat that your losing. You need to be in ketosis. If your cheating then what's the point of wasting your money, as it is expensive.

I use to be on the Dr. be program and lost a total of 100 lbs. But it came back, not because I returned to eating the way I use to. But rather I still eat as per the maintenance process. I have a hormonal imbalance and it messed up their program as I was gaining weight while on their restricted plan. I was only eating 700 calories a day and they kept reducing my proportions. They also can not work with allergies like Celiac and it screws up their calorie calculations. After I got off the Dr. B's plan I went to a trainer to find out why I was so tired, and the Dr. B program burnt away all my muscles. It actually placed restrictions on my heart and my lean muscle mass was so low I was having issues with bone degradation. So the Dr. B program doesn't burn fat but rather muscle.
Still would recommend weight training, and regular activity coupled with a healthy diet over the Dr. B program.

This doesn't surprise me at all. All those miracle dieting products are working only as long as you follow their instructions. Just like regular diet. :)
If you really want to lose weight, you need to be more active and eat healthy. But not for a few months or few years but for the rest of your life. When your metabolism adjust to certain eating regime as soon as you switch it to something different, you'll lose/gain weight.

Hello, did you end up doing the injections yourself? How much b6&b12 did you mix? I’m hoping to start this in my own but am worried about the dosage.
Thank you,
Thank you,

How many shots of B12 and B6 you need to take per week if you are on Bernstein diet?

I love your attitude. I have been on the Bernsteins diet for 3 weeks and have lost 12 pounds. I need to lose another 18. I have been trying to research B6. Not too many Medics know about it. I love the energy I get from the shots and would like to continue them. You can buy them from pharmacies in Canada with prescription. Some articles say you need to be injected, but I would rather do it myself, as I have been doing. You can also take it in pill form. I wonder if it’s as effective in this form?
Bernsteins is a restrictive diet but I have tried Noom and Weight watchers and only dropped 10 and then stayed stuck. Personally, I long ago gave up bread and don’t drink milk or eat red meat so, the transition wasn’t hard. I do miss yams and potatoes. But I do love, love ,love these No calorie noodles Shirataka , I think is the name.. Good luck on the continued weight loss.

I maintained that philosophy for years and maintained a healthy weight. The stupid thing I did was to start to smoke, and then quitting. That, as you mentioned screwed up my metabolism and I have not been able to drop that 20 pounds in 6 years. So, after failed attempts at Noom and WW I am on Bernsteins. I also walk 15,000 or more steps a day. Helps with constipation and losing weight around your middle. I do love the B6 and 12 shots.. Being 60, I need all the energy I can get.
