Back and chest pains…could it be my hernia?

Hi, I am having chest pains from time to time. Usually, it starts in the upper abdomen and continue up to sternum area. A month ago I could feel just slight pain and now frequency is growing. Pain is a dull and annoying. My blood test is fine, and I have no other complaints apart from this. I heard that a pain under the sternum is usually indicating a stomach or intestine disorder. But, I am more worried about heartburn, as I have family history of it.
