Hello ASWEETY,

Given that you had your teeth cleaned a bit ago it could very well be that you became infected by their equipment or even bacteria in your mouth.  Cleaning of the teeth can weaken gums or cause bleeding that allows infection to enter.  Doctor's often prescribe a general antibiotic when they suspect an infection but that doesn't mean that the antibiotic will work on the bacteria you have.  They didn't test to find out what bacterium or combinations of bacteria you have.  It's just a general protocol and common practice.  They could do a culture to find out exactly what they have but that cost more.  I would say they are at fault and should take care of the matter but they may not be willing to admit.  I would go back to the dentist and discuss with him/her calmly and ask for assistance.

Thank you Susan !
And yes I agree with your comment and I've been back to the dentist several times and they only recommend I brush and floss at least 2X a day. Trust me I do more than that. And of course always that free toothbrush/toothpaste,goodness I have enough. Honestly I'm not sure if I would recommend this dental office. I've gone through 2 different antibotics and not working(from my doctor not dentist). At least he is trying but no success !
I won't give up !
