Hi, I am 42 years old female and I am on ssris for a very long time. I was talking with one of my friends and she told me to consult doctor because she thinks such long use of antidepressants may be dangerous for my heath. I would like to know something more about this. Thanx.
Hi, ssris medications are in use last fifteen years and as much as I know long term side effects are not noticed. Sometimes after short period of time person may experience impotency or some disorders with his libido but thats all. As someone who is taking these depressants for 3 years I didnt noticed long time side effects.
