I had an ulcer and cleared it with lemon juice.Just 8 drops of lemon in one glass of water. With time will do the trick. The amount is very important.Just like any antibiotic in large amounts will kill you but in small amounts will save you.

Hi,
I have read your posts and wanted to follow your advice. I was recently diagnosed with gastritis and a small number of H Pylori in my stomach. I didn't want to take strong antibiotics and therefore started natural treatments. I was under a lot of stress recently and I think that's what caused the gastritis and H Pylori attack. I wanted to try lemon juice in the morning since I feel I have low stomach acid. But I have read that lemon juice turns alkaline when it hits the stomach. How will drinking lemon juice then improve stomach acidity and digestion? Please reply.
Thanks a lot!

Suppose, if you pour acid on any wound of the body that will surely not help So, the indigestion or bloating sensation due to the peptic ulcer disease must not be treated by eating lemon or drinking its juice.

You are an ass. Lemon juice contains citric acid, which is a well known buffer. It regulates the pH of the medium in which it exists. In other words, it will not permit excessive acidity or alkalinity. And peptic ulcers are due to the bacteria, Helicobacter pylori, and not due to acidity. As for me, I take the juice of a freshly squeezed lemon in cold water in the morning after breakfast, and at night, after dinner. I am sure to rinse my mouth with water after this. I cannot vouch for any medical benefits of this, but I get a nice belch, which digests the oily and spicy food (bad habit) that I usually eat. I have also noticed an increase in my appetite, whenever I drink this juice for a few days, and I feel ravenously hungry all the time.. which may not be good for weight control, LOL :-)

Great post but please use warm water especially in the mornings. The body works hard to maintain an even temperature as well as ph. Drinking cold items shock the gut and actually slow down digestion untill the body recovers. The first fluids of the day should be warm and will kick start the metabolism.

Actually you should try to consume some virgin organic coconut oil. It is anti-bacterial, anti-fungal, and anti-viral. Take a tablespoon with each meal. If you have concerns over it being saturated fat...don't worry...its what is considered a 'good fat' and does not raise your LDL...in fact it actually raises your good cholesterol (HDL) ..which in turn helps to lower your bad cholesterol....give it a try for 30 days and see how it is. If you happen to be overweight you might even see some weight loss or fat loss associated with it....

Nature has given us everything yet we dont use & run after doctors. Ayurveda is way better than Allopathy, which only has carbon based medicines. It is time to invest on nature & find out how nature can cure us naturally than blindly following Allopathy.

lemon does not seem to act as alkali entering the stomach. its still an acid but the acidity of citric acid is less compared to stomach HCL. the probable mechanism in healing acidity with lemon maybe that it acts on homoeopathic principle. citric acid is not as troublesome as hydrochloric acid...but more acid will induce more alkali production to get neutralised. and this additional alkali will first neutralise HCL, as HCL (Strong acid) has more affinity to alkali than citric acid (weak acid) has.

You are absoultely right. I had a problem of Gas and Bloating for several years. Doctor prespribes Acid inhibitor drug like Lanzor. But it works only as long as you take the medicine. Then I started Lemon juice (half lemon in a glass of cold drinking water) and surprisingly in 2 days, all my gas symptoms are gone!!!. I find energetic and my apetite level has alos considerably improved.

Hello, all!!! Really great comments by everyone.  I, too, suffered from kidney stones. If I feel one coming on, I head right to the store, pick up a medium size bottle of Realemon and down half of it right there in the grocery aisle.  Most people look at me like I'm crazy. Once, I had someone give me the thumbs up. "Kidney stones? Yeah...that stuff works like a charm." I then pick up a large bottle of water and begin drinking that while I'm waiting in line to pay for my lemon juice and water.  Several hours later, or the next morning, I drink the other half of the bottle. Followed by more water. Thankfully, I have been able to avoid ER visits for the past 10 years. :)

All of the things mentioned: Lemon Juice, Coconut Oil (virgin, cold pressed), Apple Cider Vinegar (unfiltered with the "mother"), Aloe Vera Juice (cold pressed), Yogurt (organic, with live cultures), Probiotics (Pure Encapsulations is a good brand), etc. have amazing healing properties.  How you want to integrate them is all up to what works best for you.   There is no one right answer for everyone, however.

My father drinks 4 ounces of aloe vera juice and 4 ounces of prune juice first thing in the morning. He then moves to green tea with a little bioactive honey.

My father's wife prefers waking up with warm water and an ounce of unfiltered apple cider vinegar.

I drink a large glass of warm water after I quickly down a 4 ounce shot of straight lemon juice.  Then, I move to Teeccino (an amazing herbal coffee that is not coffee at all,  contains zero caffeine, and is actually good for you).

My husband loves the Alo drinks (I think the Pomegranate and Cranberry is his favorite), as well as the Teeccino with Stevia (Sweet Leaf brand is hands down the best) and Almond Milk.

From everything I have read, however, the majority of natural physicians (including mine), juice masters, raw/vegan masters, etc. all agree that a great way to get started on the road to better health is to begin your day with a large glass of clean (filtered, no chlorine, no fluoride) water that contains the juice from a half to several whole fresh squeezed lemons.  If you are worried about tooth decay, drink the lemon juice as a "shot" and follow it up with the warm water.

As a side note, other "super" supplements are Turmeric/Black Pepper capsules (turmeric is absorbed at a dramatically higher rate if taken with black pepper), Ginger capsules, and fresh "green" juice.  Both turmeric and ginger are natural, aid in general digestion, and have powerful antibiotic, antibacterial, anti-inflammatory properties.  Turmeric has also been shown to help prevent the plaque build up on the brain that causes Alzheimer's.   The turmeric and ginger both are what finally saved me from years of horrible lower back pain and I avoided surgery.

I can't say enough wonderful things about "green" juice.  Watch the documentary "Fat, Sick, and Nearly Dead", visit Jason Vale's juice master site and you'll get the idea.  While you're at it, visit the Gerson Institute's website to find out how they have been curing cancer (yes...curing!) for over 50 years.  And, visit the Tree of Life Rejuvenation Center's website to find out how they have been beating diabetes (and many other ailments) with their "Simply Raw: Reversing Diabetes in 30 days" program.  It is amazing stuff!!!

A note of caution to all...natural remedies are rarely "quick" fixes like pharmaceutical pills.  Be strong and stick with the routine! Some of the natural remedies could take days, weeks, even months. But, if you stick with it, you will see a wonderful improvement not only to any ailment you are directly attempting to treat, but most likely to other ailments and your overall health in general, without all of the nasty side effects of the pharmaceutical options.  :)

hi i have been doing the same thing about lemon juice. theres one thing you only have to remember. drink it pure without water in an empty stomach. and start on a low dose. 5 pcs on the frst day and gradually adding up 5 pcs more everyday till it reaches 30 and maintain that everyday. i can be a living proof to this. it alleviated my allergic rhinitis, corrected my constipation and people have been noticing my seemingly slim figure. just do it consistently. remember: no water with it.
