wrong, lemons turn alkaline once in the body, also pineapple is the same. So lemon does not irritate the wound at all....you need to take it separately from food however as other foods may be acidic.

Hey you guys i want to agree with all the wonderful benefits you have mentioned about lemon juice as i am also a living witness of its wonders. first of all, it helped alleviate/lessen my allergic rhinitis, i dont know how it does that but it did. also, it relieved my constipation and to add up to that, it helps maintain/loss weight. however, i saw something dangerous with how you guys do the process.
lemon juice must be taken on an EMPTY STOMACH. about an hour before you eat breakfast. and you need to start with 4 or 5 and gradually increase the amount until you maintain about 28-30 pcs of lemon everyday. (in our country the lemon i am referring to is the Citrus microcarpa variety.)
i am a pharmacy student and i have been searching more about how the mechanism works why its such a good practice to drink lemon. but please, drink it pure. no water with it. thats when it bcums dangerous. i swear to you i have an aunt who used to practice this and well, it destroyed her stomach. she cant gain weight no matter how much she eats.

This is great news never knew what to do with all my lemons. I heard a good idea is to wash them first and stick them in the deep freezer. Once frozen grate them onto your meal (not all of it!), virtually improves every meal from salad to curry and I believe there is far more vitamin C and other beneficial properties in the skin than the juice.

Why no water with it? bit harsh on the throat don't you think?After reading all the posts to date there does appear to be a majority of people who have all benefitted on the consumtion of warm lemon water on empty stomach preferably first thing in the morning including myself.I sure would like to know how one user's mother's stomach was destroyed by drinking lemon juice ...?and how they came to this conclusion..even dieticians dont seem to agree on gastric juices and citric juices or are they alkaline when they meet with the stomach and does this really improve your own ph level? LOL make up your minds all you experts with zillions of credits; titles and money for research..all I know is acid is acid and obviously to me if that was eating the lining of whatever wherever why on earth would all our bodies be producing this naturally in these places.It really seems ridiculous for me to believe that acid is eating the lining of something it is created in I have no formal medical education but I always use my common sense so the bacteria definitley makes sense on that issue and the stress factor too in terms of yes once the lining is damaged even normal production of acid will hurt you just like any wound so logically if you are stressed and producing more acidic juices it will hurt even more

for me, i have gout and periodically get attack when i miss my diet and go on a seafood attack. hehehehe.. but i would counter the gout attack by drinking 2 litre of alkaline water mixed with 4 ounces of unsweetened lemon juice. do that every day and your body will be more alkaline than acidic. Research shown, disease strive in acidic body.

did u take clarithromycin 500 mg ?? 2 x 7 days? and did u take omiprazole 20 mg each night during taking the antibiotic and for three months after that one capsule in the morning empty stomach??? if u have weak stomach continue to take the omniprazole caplue for longer time.

Its interesting that some people feel better after drinking an acidic food like lemons. This does go against the conventional medical wisdom. An ulcer is an open wound in the stomach, so that it is very unlikely that drinknig acid would help this, and would most likely make it worse. The reason doctors give antacids in the case of ulcer is so the ulcer can have a chance to heal. It does not need to be a permanent solution though. Now for those individuals who do not have ulcers, it might be that taking increasing stomach acid with a meal as you age could have some benefits. It is speculation, but stomach acid does decrease significantly with aging, and perhaps lemon juice would counteract that.
