I am on my third week of my first birth control pack and have become a bit concerned.

Yesterday, I had come home from school and realized that I had spotted barely noticeable dark blood onto my panties. Later that day around 7:45 pm I had sexual intercourse with my boyfriend. At 10:15 pm I seemingly identified bright spotting of blood. I called my boyfriend and he said he had noticed that I bled a little on the condom that night. Being a little concerned, I woke up this morning to notice I am still bleeding very little.

My concern is whether it's my sexual intercourse that caused bleeding or my birth control. If anyone could give a little judgment or comment that would be nice!

What kind of birth control are you on? Does the birth control allow a monthly period or stops them? If you are on your third week and the birth control allows a period then your probably starting your period. How many days are you into the third week? If your on certain birth control pills then the sugar pills (ones without hormones you take during period) should be a different color. How many pills left before the different ones? When does your period usually start? Sexual intercourse can cause bleeding if it was really rough, he tore your hymen or left over hymen out, from fingering and his fingernail cut you, but the bleeding would stop within 24 hours and usually be very light and spotting.
