My boyfriend and I had unprotected sex three days after my last period ended. He pulled out in plenty of time and no sperm got any where near the opening of my vagina. I took the morning after less than 12 hours after we had sex. That was 10/25. On 11/01 I thought I had started my period because I had some bleeding, but it wasn't as much as a normal period and only lasted 2 days. My period shouldn't start for another 10 days at least. Could that just be because of the morning after pill? Please help!

Hi there, First, take a deep breath....ok, now given when you guys had sex and that you took emergency contraceptive, the odds of you being pregnant are almost 0. That being said, the morning after pill can change the length of your monthly cycle, (a week earlier, or later.) The hormones in the pills can make some women experience unexpected bleeding, it is not uncommon, nor a serious side effect. If you miss your period that you are expecting in 10 days, then you should take a HPT (home preg test) of course, but I think this is highly unlikely in your case. I hope this has helped & calmed your fears.
