Hi, I am diabetic too, and it’s very important that you keep your blood glucose level under certain values, then these symptoms wouldn’t occur. High glucose level induces nerve damage, blood vessel damage and leads to change in foot shape. As damage of foot structures progresses you may be feeling foot numbness, coldness of the legs. Some people get a tingling, or pins and needles sensation in the feet due to damage of nerves. But, right now your blood vessels are progressively affected, by distracting blood walls, adding risk to development f atherosclerosis and being more permeable to fluid, and it results in swelling.
