Having a heart attack is clearly very scary and can leave a lot of patients and their families very worried. The good thing is that you aren't the one suffering from the anxiety, however your family sound like they need some reassurance. As you say you are on medication, and I'm assuming you've been given life style advice, if you stick to what you've been told to do, take your meds, exercise, look after your diet then hopefully your outlook is positive. Reassure your friends and relatives that you are doing all you can, inform them how you're getting on, let them know you're okay and I'm sure they'll feel a lot better.

Thank you very much and I really appreciate this, well My Doc' has told me to quit smoking, which I did & which was extremely hard. Nevertheless He also added that I had to change My lifestyle which is equally difficult and Am coping. well, even My diet Am keeping a close watch. But still I have done quite a lot of Research online, even though My Doc' is mum on the issue, I don't feel that Just medication and all his advise is sufficient enough for me to put up a brave fight as deep inside I have this voice that states that My time could be ticking. I have left everything to the Lord's will, only hope that my family has the courage to face the inevitable. Thanks again'

Hi! Don't be so hard on yourself. Giving up smoking is a massive achievement! Just that alone will make your outlook so much more positive. Adding in the other stuff is brilliant - and make sure you enjoy it. If you exercise take someone with you, have fun. A heart attack is a warning - it isn't a death sentence, just think you lucky you are to have been given to opportunity to change things. You are the one in control - not the disease, and you can make a massive impact on what happens which is exactly what you've done. So stop and pat yourself on the back, and talk about your anxieties to people you can trust. You obviously have a lot of people around you who love and care for you, so make the most of that. I'm here if you need any more advice.

Thank you very much and I really do appreciate your reply. Was smoking for many years & well yes it was difficult. But I had to pay attention to what My doc' said & was only being obedient. Since he actually fixed me ever since the 1st attack, we two share a pretty mature relationship. He asked me to exercise which I still have not started but will soon. Will need to go for a complete review now, it's been 2 months & nothing untoward has happened. More than medicine, I feel a lot of people actually did Pray for me, so I thought that I should also have some sense & not take it easy. Am taking the medicine even though it totals to about 20 pills per day, doesn't matter but You know I think that sometimes I actually am getting tired of the same. Thanks again, You take care & a big God bless !
