Hi. I've always had big nipples but pregnancy made the areolas grow even larger and breastfeeding made my nipples be really long. Now my areolas have gone back to their normal size though they stay darker than they used to be and my boobs are also back to normal (even firm which is nice of course) but my nipples are still as long as they were during feeding. Will they also eventually get back to normal?

Hi, guest.
Can you tell me for how long you are breastfeeding? And for how long do you plan to breastfeed?
From my wife's experience, nipples go back to normal after you stop breastfeeding your child.
But she had to stop breastfeeding a lot earlier than she actually did, because he breastfed our son for almost 19 months. His teeth put a lot of pressure on nipple so areolas couldnt get back to their usual state.

Like I said, my wife's nipples went back to their original state in matter of days after she stopped breastfeeding.
Have you tried to apply cream or something? Have you had problem with mastitis during breastfeeding? Or some other problems?

cream I used against the cracking, what good could it possibly do now?

The fact that you didn't have problems with nipples during breastfeeding indicate that they will get back to normal eventually. At least, that's my opinion.
I checked with my sister (she got a baby girl 3 months before us), and she told me that her nipples recovered in 3-4 months after she stopped breastfeeding.
