So I recently have experimented with the "fewerperiods.com" thing. I spoke with one of those doctors and was told that if you are the pill there is no need to have a period to clear out the lining and you should just start a new pack when you are due to take the placebo pills. This is my 3rd pack of pills....so I've now skipped 2 periods on purpose. The problem is...since that first skip I have had brown spotting consistentely. What is the deal? Some days it's heavier than others....but non the less...always there. Any advice?
I have had the exact same thing for almost two weeks. Sometimes it is a tinge of pink but mostly what I would call "brown sludge". (TMI). I stopped taking seasonale and this is my first cycle completely off of BC. Anyone else with this?
I have the same issues as the girls above. I also took my pill 3 times in a row to avoid having 2 periods and have been having heavy gross brown spotting for 2 weeks!! So frustrating!! Do I have to wait until my period is over until its finally done?! UGH!
Hi
I take Lybrel. No period for 2 months, as planned, but now during the third month I've had brown spotting going on for four weeks. I never miss my pills and take them at the exact same time every day. I am going to my gynecologist to make sure all is ok, but if this is a side effect, taking Lybrel is not worth it and I'll switch back to a normal pill like ortho-tricyclene.

I have been on Lybrel for almost 2 years. At first I had spotting that went away for awhile..but recently I've been spotting non stop for weeks. I haven't missed any pills and take them at the same time. So I dont know why I started spotting again. I think I might talk to my Dr. and switch. I've been in on it sooo long I figured I wouldn't have this problem. It's really annoying constantly having brown spotting.
Ive been having the same thing! Ive been spotting for over a MONTH now and its rediculas!!! I hate it! It is a "brown sludge" too. I too skipped my period, on purpose for vacation. Ive been taking ortho-tri cyclen lo for over two year, and had no problems. Ive recently seen a doctor, told him all my symptoms, spotting, haedaches, etc, and he refereed me to a obgyn because he belives its my birth control thats giving me the problems. So I'm not sure whats causing it, I just hope we all get it figured out and hope all this mess stops!! And it is nice to know that other women are having the same issues and we all can relate to each other.
