I am 26 years old and sexually active.I got off the depo shot 6 months ago and 3 months after that I been having weird periods and brown discharge for a few days between my periods.What can cause this to happen.
The Depo shot runs havact on your hormones. It may take a few more months to straighten out.. I too am having the brown discharge and my Doctor says it is my hormones leveling out.. I just began the pill after a 3yr hiatus(sp)

I was on Depo for 3 Years. I would never recommend anybody to go on it. When I decided to get off it because of excessive weight gain & depression, my period never started on it's own and I had to start the patch right away.
I was on the patch for 2 years and it's really no better. It is not good for heavier set women as I was having stroke symptoms and started to get killer migranes. I have not been on any BC for over a year and I feel the best I ever have.
