brown vaginal discharge and early period

so im on birth control and a couple days after my last period i had unprotected sex with my boyfriend. he pulled out though. a week after my period i experienced brown vaginal discharge. its been there for the past 5 days and i have started my period 8 days early. im on birth control so shouldnt it be regulated. its too early to telll if its a normal period but what could this mean
