I am in the same boat. It seems like doctors shrug their shoulders and dont care. Its 9years now and I am 65 years old. I think it may be hpv or herpes virus. Immune system low. Dont know what to do.

I’m just curious if you are still doing well a year later, or was that not a solution? I have been suffering for a year now and desperately seeking a solution. Ive just increased my progesterone from 30 mg to 40 mg, and I am using Vitex twice a day. It’s only been a few days so I’m not sure if it’s working. Please let me know how you are.

Sorry to hear of everyone's misery. I arrived here after a brownie (that I made two days ago and ate 1/2 cup of batter that didn't bother me at ALL then) suddenly set my mouth on fire just now. Apparently it turned evil in 2 days. Used Dutch Processed Cocoa, which I had used an entire 2lb container of without issue.
Female, 45, fluctuating hormones & the last month has been most stressful in years. I know I am malnourished from the last few weeks of very, very poor diet, so inadequate minerals and nutty Est/progesterone could def be a factor.
Wanted to float a notion - a while back I bought Colgate Optic White and had to return it because it was miserable to use - mouth on fire and skin in mouth peeled after. Had been doing OK alternating Crest Pro-Health and Arm & Hammer until about a year ago when both of those started making my mouth peel. I stare at the shelf full of toothpaste at the store, but many are so similar I don't have much faith in changing brands. I did hear that Tom's of Maine was less offensive.
Also noticed in the past few years that nuts and breads caused a bump in my throat after eating. I quit smoking last Nov & have chewed nicotine gum since then (which we know can compromise processing of some nutrients). About 8 yrs ago when I chewed Cinnamon nicotine gum I had severe mouth ulcers, so that's off the table, as is most "cheap" cinnamon (the good stuff doesn't bother me).
Estrogen impacts your GI system throughout - there might be something there. I will start researching and share anything I find. Thanks for sharing your stories and theories so that we might find a common thread.

Possible cause is menopause . I have been using progest cream and my burning mouth is gone. When I stop the cream it comes back. Worth a try I would say.

I have my first stellate ganglion block yesterday and I felt no difference. You’ve had 9 stellate ganglion blocks over how many years?
