I had 3 csections. 1st was an emergency but it wasnt bad the only scary part was my babys heartrate was really low. 2nd they put me to sleep because my spinal tap didnt work maybe because I was soo nervous crying and just a big mess. I just couldnt put it in my head I was having surgery again I wasnt prepared for it. And my 3rd was great!! I had my spinal instantly didnt feel anything and my baby was healthy and I didnt lose much blood. Recovery was very fast for this one. I wouldnt say csections are the best because I would of wanted vaginal births for all but my doctors have handled them well and got us out of surgery safely.

It is ironic that anyone would say that C-sections are as safe as a vaginal birth. NOT so. While they may be necessary in less than 10% of births, they should never be considered a normal option for safe birthing. Wounds become infected, surigical sites open, internal damage may be left, urninary bladder damage and/or infections, the third spacing of fluids for weeks afterwards that is often painful and the longterm damage unknown, risks of blood clots, and breathing problems are just some of the often reported side-effects from C-sections. These are not normally reported with vaginal births. So, please do not encourage women to consider a C-section unless there is a true medical need for the mother or baby. Putting them at risk just so the delivery fits into the doctor or mother's schedule is not acceptable,  ever.

How safe is it for me to get pregnant again? I had a baby 14 months ago by emergency c-section due to pre-eclampsia. We were both fine after birth, but my son had difficulty breathing during.
