I am trying to determine the source of my hives problem. The only thing that comes to my mind is the alcohol allergy. Can that really cause hives? I have increased the amount of alcohol intake recently, actually I almost did not consume any of it before, so I think that is the source f my problem. What do you say?

Well, you can do a little experiment. Do not drink for a week or two, treat the hives and if that condition does not return, that means that you should avoid alcohol from now on. This would be a smart thing to do anyway. Alcohol allergy is not a common condition, but it happens, and has more or less same symptoms as any other allergy, including hives.

Hallo,
I think that you should stop drinking alcohol at all because you know that you have alcohol allergy. Also you should avoid anything that has alcohol in it because your body is not coping with alcohol very well. Hives can be caused by the body’s reaction to alcohol. You have to understand that you will notice more reactions as well. Do you have any problems with your stomach? I know that alcohol allergy can cause also diarrhea as well with other problems that involve indigestion and problems in abdomen. I hope that you will find a way to get rid of your problem and that this helped you in any way.

All the best to you,
Karen
