Hello! I have often problems with conjunctivitis. I really don’t know why this happens so often. Maybe my eyes are too sensitive. My doctor usually prescribes some eye drops and if I have a discharge from my eyes he also prescribes antibiotics. I am afraid that these eye drops and infections can endanger my eye health. Can conjuctivities have adverse effects on your vision?

Hello! You should talk to your doctor more seriously and ask him to perform some additional test of your eyes in order to find the reason for repeated infections. Conjunctivitis complications are really rare but if untreated, conjunctivitis may spread and damage the cornea permanently, impairing vision. Since you treat your conjunctivitis every time it occurs there is almost no possibility for your vision damage.
