To everyone who has broken their hymen with a dildo or vibrator - which one did you use? I'm 27 and a virgin and I am far too embarrassed to go through having a guy break it the regular way. I don't mind telling them I'm still a virgin, but I don't want them to think they're hurting me (as much!), and I'd much rather do it by myself in my own time.

I'd appreciate any advice on type/style/size etc. I really would - please reply! And a link to the one used would be even better :)

Thankyou xx

Im a virgin as well and i came off my period like 4 days ago, and it was the first time i tried fingering properly (i normally dont bother) and i bled quite a lot, do you think i broke my hymen? There was a tiny bit of pain but it was gone before i could really think about it

Well, just look in a mirror. Shine a flashlight on the area and look. When you see the peice of flesh covering your vagina, poke it with something. It might hurt. There is an opening in the hymen, so stick ur finger in that.

My bffs agree: we used a Pocket Rocket on the clit to distract, then a fat Sharpie pen to do it. The sharpie is rounded so it may take a few tries; u'll know when it happens... P.S. we supported each other by doing it together

A hymen is the same tissue as the foreskin on a penis. It arises in the embryo from the same cells. The act of circumcision is the same as perforating the hymen. If you have reservations about perforating your hymen check with your male partner about having circumcision.

Your H-Y-M-E-N (hymen) is a thin stretchy tissue that partially covers the vagina's opening. Every women has one. In order to have a mans penis go into your vagina during sexual intercourse, the hymen has to rip. It may hurt when the man tears it, but you can tear it yourself too.
