Dude, it is a sin. It obviously ruins your precious relationship with God. I for sure experience that every frickin single time after I do it. I too always feel sorry to the Lord as you do. dude, there must be many people around you who would say it's healthy, it's not a sin. LET'S NOT listen to these compromises made by the Satan whos always ready for the very moment to mess us up. However, I want you to remeber this, even if you cannot stop masterbating, cling to God even more and pray for that and the Lord is the God of new grace and new mercy. He's already,thru Jesus Christ, bore our sins including sins that we will commit in the future. It does not mean, though, that you continue to masterbate because you are always forgiven. Just think, "would God who I love so much be pleased by watching me doing this?" Of course, its your own choice to take this advice but may the Lord be with the decisions you are gonna make :-D

Hey i had the same problem you do. I am 16 and every time i feel the urge to beat off i do one of three things
1.Take a cold shower, idk how it works but it does trust me !
2. Read parts of the Bible
3. My hobby is playing basketball so when i feel the need to masturbate i go somewhere and hoop to get it off my mind. So find a hobby!

Well if masturbation is a sin, then you and I my friend, are getting a one way ticket to hell.

But seriously, practically all potent males masturbate atleast once a week if not a day. I do it 2-3 times a day and I don't feel regret. Just pray to the Lawd and ask for forgiveness.

To all of you who say it is right to masterbate you are wong!! but if you live the way the rest of the world does then i guess its not wrong at all to do it... But if you are a child of God then you need to obay his living WORD! in EPHESIANS 5 vs 3 its says "But among you there must not be even a HINT of SEXUAL IMMORALITY, or of any kind of impurity,or of Greed, because these are improper for Gods Holy people!" A Christians Body is the temple of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 3:16) one must never forget this! Anything that would tend to debase the human body or pervert it is wrong,Sinful,and Wicked!! if you are batteling with masterbation then you need to know a few things.... 1st its a demonic Strong hold and you need to break that, and you need Deliverance!! here is how..

Deliverance from these demons
The deliverance from these demons of masturbation, fornication, incest, bestiality, prostitution, porno, follow the same general rules of Deliverance from demons and divine healing:
The deliverance can be by a miracle, but that's the extraordinary... the ordinary, is a struggle against the flesh, the devil, and the world.
The person must be totally committed to fight them.
1- Do not get impatient, trust in the Lord... always, always, trust in God, in Jesus (Ecc.38:8).
2- Pray to the Lord, and He shall heal you! (Ecc.38:8).... that's a great promise!... and the first prayer should be of thanks-giving, giving thanks for your problem of homosexuality!... because we have to give thanks to God for every thing and in all circumstances (Eph.5:20, 1Thes.5:16-18).
In this promise, "He shall heal you", does not mention the time nor the way: He may heal you today, or in 5 years?... but He will heal you!... and it does not mention it is going to be with a miracle, that will be great, but the extra-ordinary, the ordinary way is that Jesus will use other people to help you... that's the usual way, He always used Abraham, Moses, Davis, Peter, Paul... you... me... praise the Lord!.
3- Call the elders of the Church, and let them pray over you, and anoint you with oil in the name of the Lord...and the prayer of faith will make you well, and will rise you up!... that's a big promise of Jam.5:15, alleluia!
4- Make a good Confession of Sins: "Turn away from sin and order thy hands aright, and cleanse thy heart from all offence." (Ecc.38:10)... "Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed." (Jam.5:16)...
Confess all your sins, but most specially the sins of rancor, resentment, hatred, grudge... because if we don't forgive others, we can't even pray the Our Father where we ask God to forgive us the way we forgive others (Mat.6:12-15).
And every time you commit a sin, Confess it!... 20 times?... 20 million times!... don't you ever be ashamed to Confess your sins... Trust in Jesus, he is always waiting for you!.
5- Offer the Holy Mass, "Give a sweet sacrifice, and a memorial of fine flour, and make a fat offering" (Ecc.38:11)... the only memorial we have in Christianity is the Holy Mass, to offer the Father the Lamb of God, Jesus crucified and risen, praise the Lord!.
6- Get in touch with someone that may help you, specially in your church... most of the times the problem will not be solved by a miracle, rather it will be healed by God, but using the good care and compassion of some other person...
... but always, always, trust in God... God is omnipotent, and thus has the power to change a person's sexual problem, God has promised to answer the sincere prayers of a believer... you can do it with Jesus Christ!, praise the Lord!.

I don't masterbate too much.I'm 13 and I masterbate once in a 2 weeks.When i masterbate the next day I have a BAD LUCK day.It means God is punishing me for masterbating.I'm a christian and I believe masterbation is a sin.To stop doing it follow my steps and you begin do it like me (every 2 weeks).

1.When you're going to begin touching yourself think what Jesus do if he is you.
2.When you're going to begin touching yourself start thinking of God and Satana.Satana will be happy that you're going to make him company and God going to get sad because his child will never enters his house(heaven).
3.Dont think of confessions after you masterbate God will be angry even if you confessed(sry for my bad english).
4.Start making sports and going out and don't think alot of sex and girls you like.

5.Those steps didn't worked? CUT YOUR PENIS OUT(lol joking!)

I'm the same age as you and I have the same problem. I have depression and I moved for the 13 time in my life. I have no friends still and in Vegas NO ONE cares about the neighbours. Trust me. Everytime I'm in the bathroom with my laptop....You get my point. I'm starting to feel less and less guilty and it's killing me. I often have a sick mind and when someone says something thta can be turned around I often see it and I just want to be shot. I have a system I forget about but Pain is the answer to get you distracted IMMEDIATLY! Punch something real hard or knock on it hard. Bloody up your knuckles so they not only hurt for a few moments but for days. The pain ALWAYS distracts.

ok first off no where in the bible does it call it a sin second it is not the act of masturbating that is a sin but the thoughts that go along with it a sin is defined by Paul as anything that causes you conviction without following through. I want one person to show me in the Bible where it says it is a sin.

I dont think it's wrong to materbate. Let's be forreal,ppl say oh keep ur mind busy and do this and that....Please!! okay, i am 17, i have many many issues that i am working through and have worked through. Now look the bible is something to help you and its like a guide line to go by, in the bible(dont no the verse or the exact quote) but the gyste of it is that if you are comiting adultury then you will go to hell. I no some christians belive different, such as my family but personaly i think it i true.

This is from a guys point of view. I have masterbated for 3 years and have been fighting it for 2; this is the worst addiction i have ever had and i find like many others have said, dirty after i do it. But more importantly i find that i am consumed by it. In the Bible is says to the Lord first (or God), and by letting this overtake you, you are sinning. Also in the bible it values all sin equal so this in itself is as bad as killing someone or stealing a candy bar.Now i cant prove that what im saying is a 100% true, but like someone else has said, you must search your heart like many others have done and find the answer through God.

I have found that i am not strong enough to resist the temptaition or the one who is tempting me, satin. So for me b fasting i am strenthening myself and my relationship with God. The only way to get out of this is by struggling through what God is allowing into your life and remember the Bible also states that the Lord are God will never gives us more than we can handle.
