Im in the same quit for about 2 weeks and I'm constantly feeling tired all the time throughout the day I thought and attributed it to being very relaxed at night which is normally when I smoke from 6 p.m. till midnight I would be smoking heavily and very relaxed and then going to bed of course I was relaxed prior to so I believe I slept better. Now that I am NOT smoking I guess or I was thinking that I'm not nearly as relaxed as I would have been hence why I am NOT sleeping deeply as I used to when I was smoking ganja

I'm also very tired, just woke up at my desk, am feeling heavy if that makes sense. I'm on day 88!!! after 17 years of every single day smoking. I can't actually believe it, but like Mike said, went through a lot of stuff couldn't stop till I myself was ready. My first month was really bad, second one was eating a lot and generally felt good, and now in the third month, this past week I am getting tired all of the time and thoughts of weed keep popping up in my head. I feels like the first two weeks all over again, all doom & gloom, but I know it's mind over matter. I don't mind so it does not matter anymore. Keep it up friends, it will get better for all of us. Thanks.

I'm only 16 I've smoked pot everyday for 2 years like all throughout the day always high. I haven't smoked in three days and my body feels weird as hell. I'm constantly exhausted and I just woke up from a 7 hour nap. Generally I smoke to motivate, so I smoke so I can go to school with a good attitude, I smoke before I workout to get the most out of my workout. But recently I want to learn to do these things with out drugs, but my body feels sooo tired its like I'm sick. my legs are vibrating constantly like how u feel when ur really baked, except I'm not baked, and I literally just woke up. If any one has any input as to weather this gets better I would appreciate it. thanks

Hang in there man, it gets better! Your mind will play tricks with you, but try your level best sitting it out for about 3 weeks. You are still young, don't let the herb rule your life, and believe me, even though you may think it's under control while using, it's not. That green leaf will hug you for a long time if you don't break the relationship now. Anyways, stay strong friend, keep on exercising as it helps a lot.

Ex smoker her on day 5 of quitting after 16 years of smoking constantly. I am tired all the time, but I think that it has to do with the fact that everything just seems so boring that all I want to do is shut down. I will try to exercise more and see if that helps.

I'm so glad I found this thread! I smoked everyday, multiple times a day, for about 8 years and am now on week three of quitting.
I'm exhausted after being awake for five hours even though I've been sleeping eight hours a night. I was starting to wonder if something was wrong me besides weed with drawl because most of the info I've been exposed to had me believing that giving up herb is pretty easy and over in two weeks or less.

This experience has opened my eyes to how deeply rooted the substance can get and how much it had become a part of my being.

Hearing everyone's story really makes me feel better and gives me renewed strength and patience to wait this out. I look forward to rediscovering myself and to all the adventures ahead of me that I will actually be able to remember after the fact. :)

Best wishes everyone!

Hey guys - I have read a few stories on here about people that have been on weed for years and then given up the weed in exchange for other anti depressants and narcotics from big Pharma as prescribed by doctors. I just wanted to remind everyone that there are medicinal elements to 'weed' and they are possibly less invasive (read damaging) to ones health than those 'man-made' pharmas. Consider it the less of two evils. The same goes for those suffering ADHD and other mental issues. The key to weed is MODERATION!! If you are smoking morning noon and night then you are not doing it right. Use it as a REWARD for your efforts. Put in a hard days work (sober) then relax with your medicine. Alternatively, use your medicine during your 'bad pain' days but when you feel good then dont touch it... and see how long you can go without. Even 4 days will allow your body to recover from overusage and give you a very strong sensation when you have your first dose back. Take it from me, I have been a regular user for 20 years in many different countries... and continue to enjoy to this day one of the worlds most incredible discoveries. I even read someone say that weed is meant to be taken DAILY? Ridiculous. Tell me if you drink alcohol everyday you are (sorry to say) and alchoholic. Nobody thinks that will work. So the same thing with weed. If you sit in the same rut for day after day smoking weed in the same spot then you are as bad as an alcoholic (worse because you are wasting such a great opportunity as apposed to being comatose in the corner drunk). If you get out and do something new, innovative, experimental then you will feel a natural high. If you do that sober it will feel more real. Then, you can relax with a dose for it to be relived again. Remember it was a reward because you did that thing that made you/ someone else better. Just take things in life in moderation. Certainly, if you feel ANY positive effects from weed then you should not turn you back on it. Sure if you find ANY negative effects from the occasional reward based dose (just like say, having a celebratory wine or beer?) then you should also STOP (same with drinking alcohol right?). If it can avoid you taking one pain pill... or sleeping tab... or anxiety pill... then it might just be a more healthy alternative for you to consider... other than lining the pockets of big pharma by swallowing a chemical compound you know little about. Anyway, sorry to be a buzzkill about quitting - not my intention - just thought I should chime in to remind those that have chosen Ambien or Ritalin over weed and a healthy diet combined with exercise may not be getting the best life coaching. To everyone here I applaud the conversation here and best of luck to all in good health and relaxing moderation! Laugh. Love. Live.

Filtering out similar quitting-weed-experiences on the internet helps me get through a bad day when I reminisce about the good times with Mary. It's been 2 months now after 7 years of bad use. I'm still feeling more tired than I ever felt before (I'm still smoking cigarettes and don't exercise as much as I would like to). This post is the best I've read, maybe because I can relate, because the writer is not afraid to point the finger at himself and see the good of weed and the way we can't handle it sometimes, because I also think our brain needs to re-wire, because he describes so well how weed can make you a different person and understand more about life ... Thanks man. I'd like to make some music with you

Ive been smoking for 10 years and recently stopped. It's been a week and Ive never felt so tired and depressed in my life. I have bags under my eyes even though i get 8 hours of sleep every night. This really sucks, Life is so boring now and I don't know how to enjoy it anymore. I hope it gets better.
