Can somebody tell me whether the cervical radiculopathy is treatable for that is how my mom was diagnosed recently? It all started with her neck stiffening first but also with some mild tingling sensations in both her arm's fingers and when she finally lost sensation in her upper arm and shoulders she went to see a doc. and back there she was diagnosed with this cervical radiculopathy and since she really has strange and severe symptoms I expected some other treatment –I don't know precisely what –but she is only prescribed some meds to reduce the pain for now and I am curious how effective those drugs are about to treat this cervical radiculopathy condition. Thanks!

I also suffered the same cervical radiculopathy and it looks like exactly the same cervical vertebra are affected in both cases-in yours mom and mine regarding the fact that I had the same symptoms affecting my upper arms and shoulders and generally when these parts of the upper extremities are affected by this symptoms than usually cervical radiculopathy is involved and basically this condition is related to the root nerve damages in this case it is more likely that the vertebra 4th and 5th are damaged-at least it was my case and I was also prescribed only drugs and drugs were actually NSAIDs –non steroidal pain meds and I was advised combining this therapy along with physical therapy and I was also being injected some steroids into the membrane that is surrounding the spinal cord and though it took some time it eventually really helped me out with this unpleasant cervical radiculopathy condition.
