I get these pains in my chest just below my left breast and they dont seem to be caused by anything. they have happened at various times and have different measures of pain and different time spans. after each of these events my heart rate is escalated and i am forced to stop what i am doing. i have been to a cardiologist and actually used an event moniter for a month. but i didnt have one while wearing this moniter so when i returned it the cardiologist said he didnt believe my problem to be life threatning. This bothers me because it is scary when this happens and i dont know what to do. i get very lightheaded and dizzy after these things and have no idea how to prevent or even treat myself for such a thing. I need help. please if anyone has any advice respond or something.
Thanks,
Sarah

Considering that you haven’t experienced pain for a month while wearing a monitor, I would contribute your chest pain and fast heart beating to stress and anxiety.
Prolonged exposure to stress can cause all sorts of physical consequences and influence your health in general.
If you are working a lot and don’t have much time for yourself, if you drink a lot of coffee, you may be under stress without even knowing and thinking about it.
The throbbing chest pain may be due to elevated cortisol (stress hormone) levels and the throbbing may appear suddenly when you get stressed or nervous. When you get nervous, stress hormones are being released, your heart starts pounding faster as a stress-response and all the other symptoms may be related and influencing one another.
If this is the case, all you may need is rest.
