Hello
Hello over 3 weeks ago I visited my doctor after enduring a week of throat tightening, where I felt I had a lump in my throat. My GP gave me a seven day supply of antibiotics in case i had a throat infection, However, i completed the treatment and my throat does not feel any better. When i eat, I feel that the food gets lodged at the back of my throat and if it manages to pass there then I feel that its stuck in my chest. I dont know if its an allergy to something, but previously to this complaint, I was on the GI diet, and I ate loads of eggs and peanut butter, where I wouldn't have normally. I have cut out these foods now but I do not notice any difference in my condition. My sister had thyroid problems, is my complaint similiar to this? This makes me feel weak and I sometimes think that my windpipe is closing over as sometimes I feel that it is more difficult to breath. When I swallow saliva, it feels like there is a large lump beyond my tonsils. The doctor said that it may also be stress related. Do you have any suggestions?
