My ENT visits were not helpful. I hear crackling sound and have in both ears most of the time. When lying on my sides if feels as if fluid needs to leave my ears. So I am continuing to find an answer . I don't get ear infections. The crackling sound limits my hearing.

I also suffer from a clicking in my ear, I am up know because of it. It comes and goes, mainly at night if I lie on my left side . I went to see the ENT, could not find any problems, he acted as though I was hearing things that was not there, just said if it continues make another appt. I am going to get another opinion elsewhere. I don't have a cold or sinus infections.

Hi. I have had a constant clicking in my right ear since I was 17. I am now 36 . I would do just about anything to have just one day with out this darn snap crackle pop in my ear.

I had clicking for years in one ear. Last year it started in other ear; different cadence and pitch. A week after the second ear, I got severe case of vertigo, lasting several days. After vertigo episodes, noticed no more clicking in either ear. Clicking has not been experienced for about a year. Thoughts?

I have popping/clicking in both ears but not at the same time. The noise occurs like the frequency of popping popcorn in the microwave. Pop/click in my left ear seems to be activated by my cell phone, the right is activated by the tv. The frequency also seems to match the syllabols of words as they are received. No allergies or cold. Had it for years, drives me barking mad.

Same. 14 years old and having that problem right now. Infact its 11:00 at noght right now because of the clicking. Everhtime it clicks its like an instink to open my ears but the keep shuting with 3 clicks like an annoying door slamming in my face. I don't know what to do about it....plz help

I have had the same clicking sound in my right ear for the last 2 weeks that many of those posting here experienced. It finally went away when I put warm hydrogen peroxide in my ear via a plastic ear bulb. It bubbled and caused an unpleasant, but not painful itch. After about 3 minutes, I tilted my head to drain it. Did this 1 more time, then rinsed the ear with warm water. The clicking noise went away. I may have had something in the ear putting pressure on the nerve that caused the clicking.

Look up Palatal myclonus. Also known as palatal tremor. Constant clicking in ears. Very rare and very hard to treat. I hope you don't have!

I'm 37 my mom did not put tubes in my ears could be why, over ten years I to , have the popping clicking ticking , draining sounds in my ears, it was physically concerning , then became emotionally upsetting , now that doctors and the ENT just looked at me an pretty much have said what they all say, we get payed to much to give a c**p, sorry bout your luck! And family think I'm crazy , so it's now become a mental problem , I'm mentally ill over it, I vaguely remember how I felt before my ear issues ,,,, I DONT KNOW ANYMORE WHAT TO DO, I'm mentally nuts over the sounds an the drainage of mucus down back of my throat ,all they said u have to nodules on the larynx need voices therapy!
