I have developed clicking in my left ear, for a few days now, I've no idea what started it. It sounds like the clicking on a Geiger counter, alternating between fast and slow. It's really bizarre.

I have found a way to get rid of this easily, squeeze both of your nostrils and then blow hard with mouth closed, then release, try a few times it worked for me.

I started having the clicking in my ear. It was like putting your ear to a wrist watch and hearing the clicking. I read on one of these chats that someone had a pop in their neck while sleeping and it went away. So I went to my chiropractor yesterday and had her work on my neck. And it is gone! She uses the Activator Adjusting Instrument on all areas. No back or neck cracking. She said sometimes things start pushing on nerves and cause audio noises. Thank God it's gone!

The same happened to me. I went to get the earwax out by the ENT my family physician referred me to and ever since then I hear a clicking sound in my left ear when I swallow. He prescribed flonase, but I am not hopeful about it helping clear the clicking. He wanted me to take steroids for 10 days to help with inflammation in the eustachian tube. I may have to try the steroids next, since I had taken it before for pain and pressure from flying a lot, before I got the earwax out.
