Has anyone heard of any clinical trials that have to do with colostomy reversal? My suregery left me with a "permanent" colostomy bag. I was hoping someone knew of some research or clinical studies out there that took the "permanent" out of this procedure

Thanks

Colostomy reversals can be done when there is enough functioning tissue for the colon to perform is task. Sometimes there is too much tissue damage to reverse. It would probably in best interest to speak with the physicians involved in the original surgical procedure to determine if a reversal would be possible.
