I am 27 years old and I am not on any birth control. I have been having brown to bloody discharge in between my periods. It is a continuous thing. I can tell when my period starts because it is always heavier than the discharge, however my periods are not in the least bit normal and I have had other period related problems. I used to have very heavy bleeding that would last months. I have been to an OB and they said that a small cyst may be the reason for the heavy bleeding. But I am just wondering if anyone has any info on the continuous discharge, it can really get frustrating. Also my husband and I would like to have a baby sometime soon but I don't feel like I can ever tell if I am actually ovulating because of the continuous discharge. My husband and I have not used any kind of birth control for the 3 1/2 years that we have been married. If anyone has any answers it would be much appreciated!

Your doctor said a small cyst may be to blame without any follow up investigations? That is bad news. Bleeding between periods can be caused by many different factors, some of which require treatment, and yours is not intermittent but pretty much present all the time. It sounds like you need a new doctor to me!!!! What if you were dealing with thyroid issues, PCOS, menorrhagia, fibroids, or anything like that without ever knowing it? Your bleeding is not normal or healthy and the cause needs to be determined. Is a second opinion in the cards for you? If so definitely get one!!!

sometimes when you have continuous discharge it doesnt always mean that there is something wrong some women just have that problem

sometimes it could mean that you have a higher estrogen level then most people. or you could have a chemical embalance that has to do with your thyroid that could through you off balance.

if you want to have a baby or your trying you should just get an ovulation test from the pharmcy that gives you the accurate time for you to concieve

I have a problem where I have my periods for 1 or 2 days instead of more than three days! I'm also having less discharge than usual. Is there some problem with me?
